Sean M (fr) wrote: Great character-driven movie. The doc is decidedly better, not as developed, but real. This biopic does a good job of bringing it to full length.
John T (gb) wrote: In Their Skin 2012. Home-invasion thriller with a slight twist. Still good and definitely worth watching. Especially for horror fans
Andrew C (es) wrote: A couple of scenes irked me, but all up this is a great (although heavy-going) film that is sure to flare up any middle-class guilt you have within you.
Sean C (mx) wrote: The copy I had of this movie only showed the first half so whether my opinion might have changed with seeing how it all ends is up for debate, however I very much doubt it. Being a fan of shark movies, even bad ones, this one really does take the biscuit. With a plotline that demands that someone be chomped by our fishy friends every three minutes or so there's not much here to recommend. Daryll Hannah looks bored and former Oscar winner F Murray Abraham does his best to look like he's enjoying more than his paycheque. Dodgy as fuck! See it for giggles only.
Sean Q (au) wrote: Absolutely amazing. What they expose is very frustrating and very hard to watch and listen to. It is a must see if you want a few answers. But just a few.
Jeff K (br) wrote: A bit disjointed and really sluggish in the middle. Picks up at the end. Seriously weird.
Brian S (au) wrote: One of my favorite movies growing up. It was the first of its kind never been done before. Great plot.
Corrine T (fr) wrote: Beautiful movie. The scene at the end never fails to inspire.

Jason M (nl) wrote: How does one rate El Topo? It may be impossible. It may be considered cheap trash to many, and to others, such as John Lennon, the greatest film of all time. I personally find it the most bizarre film ever produced. It truly is a colossal work of epic proportions by Jodorowsky, as he directed, wrote and starred in this film. There is only one El Topo. The film is allegorical and cannot be taken literally and visually for what is displayed. It is an underground masterpiece still revered to this day by the art crowd. All cinema students should challenge themselves to watch this, as it will knock their developing instincts for a loop.I neither liked nor despised this film. Rather, I found it fascinating and unique. Good luck in sitting through the entire film!
Ills G (kr) wrote: Bergman has more uninteresting and featureless films from the early stage of his career, but this is his pointless and worst.
Alexandra W (ca) wrote: This movie kind of bumbles along, one-liner to one-liner to unsatisfying ending. I'd like to see a remake that plays more into the psychological make-up of the characters. Maybe even with a real transformation for the harlot.
Tom H (nl) wrote: "a beautiful journey with outstanding performances."
Dave S (jp) wrote: This movie was made based around the twist ending, which is a stupid fucking twist anyway. No redeeming features at all.

Anthony K (ag) wrote: I loved this movie. Having recently marathon-ed the Rocky series and its many attempts to recapture the lightning in a bottle of the first, Rocky Balboa is finally able to bring it back to being character-driven, human drama. Talia Shire (not that she was THAT great an actor to begin with) and Carl Weathers are missed, but the returning duo of Stallone and Burt Young keep it feeling firmly like a Rocky film. Moreover, the inner city setting feels modern in the way it must have 40 years prior, with its dilapidated housing and increasingly diverse make up (something I very much praise this movie for). Perhaps the best thing about Rocky Balboa, though, is that it does something only the best of these films were able to - make the climactic boxing match feel like a fight for survival against impossible odds, in which your heart races waiting for Rocky to stop taking such a pounding to turn the tide and give it back to his opponent.Plus, I could watch this scene every day: "It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winnin' is done!"

Dylan G (fr) wrote: It had potential, but it's really cheap on scares, and the ending is complete shit! F
