Andy F (ca) wrote: First time I saw this movie I didn't particularly like it, but I came to it second time around knowing that it isn't the fastest paced horror movie around. Visually stunning, the premise is superb as are the proper vampires. The only thing that stops it from being one of the best horror movies of all time is the slightly pedestrian interraction between the characters. It's pretty damn fine nonetheless and generally very underrated.
Brock R (au) wrote: It's an even handed, but deeply wry, documentary. If you're familiar with the types showcased here, it will all ring quite true. If you're not, then prepare for some total `wow'.
Wade T (ru) wrote: Upon re-watch in 2016, I found that it is miles above most action spectacles produced today. It was enjoyable the entire time. Although, beware of Bay's now signature racism, sexism, and all around creepiness. Aside from that, this movie is an action treat. It's worth a re-watch.

For all those too impatient and narrow minded to enjoy it, it's your loss. It's a wonderful story. Ron Howard is a brilliant Director, bringing great stories to life.

Carlos M (kr) wrote: It is like the Coen brothers meet David Lynch in this depraved, vicious and incredibly gripping festival of sadism that Friedkin puts us through - a spectacular thriller that is both brutal and hilarious in a twisted way, like what he did in his fantastic Bug, also written by Tracy Letts.
Noah F (mx) wrote: Many view the film as overlong and convoluted although PTA's direction and script alongside the great ensemble cast make Magnolia a very well-paced and intriguing film where all the stories are equally gripping.
Jenna I (mx) wrote: Quintessentially 60s in an outdated "rollicking comedy romp" corny kind of way. You'd expect more with Woody Allen, Peter Sellers and Peter O'Toole but they kind of cancel each other out... that said it also has some genuinely funny moments because of all three.
Bruce B (gb) wrote: My Good Friend from flixster ViVi told me to see this movie, she has become my sweetheart. So many of the movies she has told me about I should have seen years ago, and I have found each one to be exciting. Growing up I never saw many Gary Cooper Films, oh they were on TV just didn't have a interest, that was my lost, these are good films, and his teaming up with Ingrid Bergman is a positive match. For a movie filmed in 1943, these actors were all head of the class during that time. Its an exciting film with a big flair for WWII. They just don't make them like this anymore and there isn't an actor today that can stand up to these actors (Oh you say what about Tom Cruise , PLEASE!). This gets 5 Stars.
