(br) wrote: I didn't see the whole movie, I was just falling asleep last night, but I did not feel like to continue to watch it the next day, it just didn't engage me, it's somehow incoherent, has an amateur feel to it, the only good part is the DVD front cover, which has an eerie look, but this film was just boring to me.

(ru) wrote: A serial killer Max Parry documents his killing spree by videotaping over a horror movie that he borrowed at a rental store. By placing it back there, he allows customers to rent the tape out expecting to see a movie called The Last Horror Movie but instead they get to see Max murdering people. Naturally if they see this tape they'll go straight to the police but Max is even prepared for that by killing the viewers too!! Very similar to the Belgian movie Man Bites Dog (even though it is miles better than this) in that the psycho killer who's talking and showing us his heinous deeds direct to the camera also tries to get his cameraman (a homeless person) to take part in his antics. This low budget indie is pretty good with it's charismatic killer who spouts some interesting observations on life. It has some dark humour running throughout but It's just a shame that there wasn't enough gore and what we do see is rather poor - but that's obviously due to budget restraints. The real revelation of the movie is Kevin Howarth as Max Parry. He really is one nasty man. The killings are cold, merciless and extremely brutal and the violence is genuinely unnerving. It lets you inside the world of an unhinged person. Definitely one that you should check out.
