David H (jp) wrote: Wasn't impressed with this movie on first watch, but after watching it again I found it really infectious, with the best parts parts of its humor understated in a way that the "American Pie" crowd won't connect with. Pootie's bizarre look and his singular command of the Pootieish language are so absurd that his status as a hero are unlikely, but Pootie's cool is what makes him so likable and funny. No doubt that the movie goes for its share of cheap laughs, but when you find yourself peppering your own language with all-purpose one-liners like "Sa da tey" and "you a baddy daddy lamatei tebby chai!" it's impossible to ignore the subtle brilliance of this underrated comedy. Not everyone will get into it, but it's definitely destined to be a cult classic.

Weird movie...Direcotr maybe have a different but weird way to express love, anyway it's not what i like and understand...oh my Keanu, it's just so weird to see you have that passionate sex with Cameron in the movie, you know that? It seems that you don't that fall in love with her but you have sex with her, and heatedly!weird, weird, weird!! Yes today's topic is WEIRD!

Eric R (nl) wrote: Oh boy is this a doozy of a haunted house thriller from the Roger Corman factory. Sure the poster art looks promising enough but Corman was always good at getting talented artists to make appealing poster artwork in order to suck unsuspecting audiences into the theater. In the 70s most of his productions were good cheese even if the eye catching poster artwork lied just a hair. By the late 80s most of his productions were pure junk only appealing to the trashy crowd but by god they still had good poster artwork. I will admit I enjoy some of his trashy late 80s offerings like Bloodfist? and Terror Within? but most tend to be along the lines of Twice Dead?, which is a definite D.O.A.A family inherits a old mansion in a very seedy, dangerous part of L.A. and Punks don(TM)t take kindly to their invasion to their hideout. Unbeknown to them a famous actor from the 1930s committed suicide in the house also doesn(TM)t take kindly to their invasion. Now our lovable family has to fight a two fronted war by taking on dangerous gangs and a vengeful spirit. This cheapo wanna be haunted house thriller has bad acting, a bad script, bad effects and to top it off it can(TM)t keep it(TM)s plot straight. The intentions of the spirit are never made clear. First it tries to kill off family members, then it protects them, then it wants to kill them again. This ghost is worse than a PMSing wife off her bipolar meds. What the fuck does it want! What pisses me off even more is that I actually like a few of the cast members. It has the guy from the lovable B-movie The Brain? and the cutsy girl from Night of the Creeps? as brother and sister. Even they can(TM)t bring this tired, cliche film up to speed."Twice Dead" has a cliche, confused plot with bad acting and poor gore effects. This twists are dumbfounding and worst of all its just completely forgettable. No Roger Coman B-movie charm for this dud. Thankfully it was included in a double feature DVD with an actual decent haunted house thriller in the form of The Evil? so I can just pretend this was a bonus. Not worth hunting down and I say pass this one on by.

monsieur r (br) wrote: Interesting and action filled, the title to this suspense thriller is not quite a multi-scream adventure. Its hardly what we have come to expect from the normal Vincent Price horror film, especially since it is not comedy in the least. More crime drama than horror flick, Vincent Price is treated as a high level scientist given special priviledges to avoid police suspicion. He has created super humans with no morals, enormous strength. A long chase scene to capture one of them that haunts dance bars ends in a vat of acid. Price, a deranged scientist, seeking to create a race of super-humans by means of organic transplants, commits a series of brutal murders in order to utilize the bodies in his bizarre experiments. This one is not leaving the police to be bumblers and involves high espionage drama as well. Worth watching once. Release Date: Feb 11, 1970 Cast Peter Cushing Judy Huxtable Michael Gothard Christopher Lee Alfred Marks Vincent Price (Mad scientist) Peter Sallis Crew Director: Gordon Hessler Producer: Louis M. Herschel J (de) wrote: Columbiana touched on every cinematic level. This action packed movie about a little Columbian girl Cattleya played by Zoe Saldana, who avenged her parents death. In doing so death followed her as well. This was a bitter sweet story that proves love, and determination comes in many sizes and should never be under estimated. Zoe's performance was passionate and powerful. This action packed film will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Shane S (au) wrote: A very underrated action film. It has a lot of great action scenes. Some great action scenes, even for a supposedly kid movie. I didn't like it the first time I saw it. but once I 'got it', I have enjoyed it ever since.

Tyler S (it) wrote: Disappointed in Ford's performance here. It felt forced and unbelievable maybe due to the weak script. His family gets kidnapped and he being a tech savy guy has to give up something to get his family back. A look at something Hollywood has provided many times before in the same dull unbelievable Manor before. Just wasn't effective and I never bought in.
