Kenny N (us) wrote: One of the rare modern day psychological horror films that puts emphasis on the PSYCHOLOGICAL of the horror. It reminded me of "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle," the movie by which all evil babysitter/nanny/child care giver movies are judged. Less splatter, more matter.First of all, enormous praise to Sarah Bolger. She never gives in, as other less assured actresses might, to the temptation to turn her character into either a scenery chewing nutcase OR a pre-programmed Lifetime movie automaton. She manages to make her villainous character real and keep her that way. Also praise to Joshua Rush for his performance as, over the course of this night, he transforms from whiny teen brat to defender of his siblings from a babysitter who starts out creepy and only gets more unsettling from there. As I said, don't expect a bloodbath. Most of the scary stuff comes from children being placed in perilous situations. The thing of it is-the situations here COULD happen if you let someone you don't know very well watch your kids.Definitely check this out. You might be surprised.
