40 Days and 40 Nights

After a brutal break-up, a young man vows to stay celibate during the forty days of Lent, but finds the girl of his dreams and is unable to do anything about it.

. . Now Matt sees his vow as a personal matter, and won't even tell her about it, but his friends think otherwise, and now the complications begin. So of course a few days later he meets a woman and they fall in love. Then he gets the inspiration that swearing off sex for Lent (all forms of sexual activity, even kissing or masturbation) will give him the perspective he needs. He's very good-looking and has no trouble finding other lovers, but that doesn't help because he's still obsessed with wanting her back. Nicole broke up with Matt months ago and is now engaged to someone else

Compare with Fight Club or The Wild Bunch. Or in other words, they're not against banks, money, private property, capitalism per se, but rather their lack of control thereof, their being subject to the control thereof, their exclusion from the capitalist ruling class. This very English post-war film (with a weak ending) makes me wonder if the bank heist film/fantasy is really a quasi-fascist pseudo-anti-capitalist fantasy

Astonishing graphics and original plot! A "mute" 2-D animation you WILL love!

I liked the added ending, it feeds a little more into the Riddick universe then the theatrical ending does

pawned a short lived US sitcom. Try and get the uncut version if you can. Mysoginist, racist, vicious and bloody, bloody funny! One of the very first buddy cop movies (if not the first) With a splendid cast, Arkin is a joy, Caan displaying a very surprising wit

John Woo's film is delightfully over-the-top, and nudges Hong Kong filmmaking in a gritter, more violent direction

The vision of Merhige is as hard to follow as the movie itself, but its so awkwardly tight you need to be careful not to get over with this so easily. Because the disapprobation of this film begins when you see at this for more that twenty minutes straight. (Sorry for my bad english) Id like to see this piece of work in a museum, next to other paintings, surreal videos or sculptures

. Use it well, my friend. You have power beyond imagination. Each man's thoughts and dreams are yours to know. You are at one with all living things. You are generations being born and dying. But it'll take time. ''Patience, Highlander You have done well. Go watch it! It is a very underrated and really awesome cult classic! But if you lose your head, it's over. So anyways, if anyone's a fan of Queen I would definitely listen to the songs, the soundtrack from Highlander and watch the film. I'm not sure if I wanted to check out the sequals because I heard pretty bad things about them so I'm gonna end it there. '' This is a very good film despite the box office bomb but it spawn the sequals and TV series. ''Hey, It's a kind of magic. I even heard Christopher Lambert saying the tagline. Their songs are Princes of the Universe, Who Wants To Live Forever and Kind Of Magic. Queen is one of the greatful music band that ever exist in music history. The songs are by Queen. It is awesome! Sean Connery has a small role in it though cause his character dies because of Kruger the Kurgan after Ramirez helps Conner Macleod out with the sword skills so he can defeat the Kurgan. '' ''Another time, Macleod!'' and the famous line ''I have something to say! It's better to burn out than to fade away!'' Now this is the line that I have to show my teacher Simon and my friends from Drama Club where I have to say the line by turning around. '', ''Hello, pretty. He really does get a line that I really like are ''There can be only one. So Kurgan is got to be one of my favorite baddies if not the best villian. But in Spongebob Squarepants, the only villian who is in it is got to be Plankton, so I'm just putting it out there. I think he always plays bad guy roles like Uka Uka from the Crash Bandicoot series, Baron Praxis from Jak 2 and the others. I said Mr Krabs because Mr Krabs is played by Clancy Brown. (Chuckles) Now don't let that bother you. '' The only best thing about the movie that really impressed me is Kurgan played by Mr Krabs. I think the beheading scenes really does the sword fight scenes where the characters fight the enemies and then cut their heads after saying the only line ''There can be only one. The first fight scene where Macleod fights the immortal, that scene is awesome. I actually thought from Christopher Lambert's character's past was filmed at Cornwall but it's not, it's actually filmed in Scotland. The movie was filmed at Scotland and New York City. Christopher Lambert really does fit for the role although he's French. Now the sword fights really sure reminds me of the King Arthur stories. ''Say, remember that I told you about that I hate box office failures? Well, here I am going to tell you about the cult classic Highlander. until now. . . No one has ever known we were among you. ''From the dawn of time we came; moving silently down through the centuries, living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering; when the few who remain will battle to the last

I've forgotten a lot of it already. It was mildly entertaining, but I got to the point where I really didn't care how it ended, realized no ending would be dramatic enough for the story to be exciting

I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in some WW2 history shown through the lenses of a small Japanese town. It's the performances and struggles of the mother and the student of her wrongfully imprisoned husband that really made this film so great. It showed you the dangers of speaking out against the war in Japan at a time when nationalistic superiority was being instilled in the hearts and minds of the masses, and the utter stupidity of being branded a traitor to one's country if one was to do so ("thought criminal"). Not many films set in small Japanese villages during WW2 as a backdrop are shown internationally, and this is an important one I believe. It had a strong anti-war message and delivered some fine, nuanced acting all around. I loved this film

If you love weird films, you must see Green Mansions because it is unlike anything you will ever see. I don't care that this film is considered terrible, I love it and it's now among my favorite romance films even though it probably shouldn't be. It's so deliciously weird and surreal that I fell in love with it in all its glorious weirdness. I fell in love with this strange film and I was certainly never bored even during the moments that are admittedly flawed. It's chock-full of many interesting ideas and I loved the blend of romance, fantasy, and adventure even if the ideas didn't always come together as planned. It's one of the weirdest, most lurid, beautiful, oddly compelling messes I've ever seen. but I adore Green Mansions. . . Green Mansions is pretty much considered to be one of the all-time worst films Audrey Hepburn ever appeared in
