Christopher L (ca) wrote: I've seen Catherine Breillat's "Anatomie de l'enfer" quite a few times now, and I honestly don't know what to make of it. I find it massively offensive, magnificently fascinating, utterly repulsive and shockingly profound, all at once. It's about as confusing as being punched in the face whilst having an orgasm, and just as inexplicable (and certainly just as unforgettable, as far as my imagination takes me).The film cannot really be viewed as a film in the traditional sense. It's more of a thesis. Breillat's argument seems to be that, depending on who you are, a woman's body is either completely terrifying or spectacularly divine. She also proposes that homosexual men are simply unenlightened straight men, but I won't get into that.I would certainly advise seeing the film, but I would never, ever suggest that you will enjoy it. Cheers.

And upon his girlfriend Rachel (Kristy Swanson) being kidnapped by the demon cop, he's then forced to do many challenges. Upon watching this film reminded me of another movie made in 2011 called "Drive Angry" starring Nicolas Cage except this one is more entertaining and more original. It'd be nice if it had more awesome car crashes in it like it should. 3 out of 4 stars

Jackie M (fr) wrote: Watched this on AUX last night. Despite the bad commercial editing by the station, I still love this movie. It's hard to believe this was Gary Oldman. He was awesome. Chloe Webb was also excellent. I watched both of their careers solely because of these performances.

Carlos I (de) wrote: Wow. This one really pushed the boundaries, especially for back in the day, I can see why it got banned. Cool exploitation flick anyway. Pretty original. What a twist.
