(de) wrote: A documentary that shows how music can heal a community -- and create hope in a people suffering poverty and violence in the drug and gang-infested Favelas. Also shows the rise of "Afro Reggae" by Anderson Sa and his band. High energy music with wonderful percussion sequences.

(ru) wrote: Great movie. It is awsome to see this cute kid bring devastation to every adult he meets.
(es) wrote: Spooky, creepy and well-acted thriller, also has amazing cinematography and haunting images and music. Every images from the four lead's dreams coming to life are haunting, creepy, smart and sometimes very violent. Joel Schumacher did an amazing job with the direction, he casted an perfect ensemble and made an intense and interesting movie, but hands down, the cinematography is beautiful, so if you like to be thrilled, this is your movie.

(ag) wrote: One of the better women wrongly imprisoned movies made. The racism is very realistically done. The lead actress Deborah Raffin went on to become really famous in China for years.
(mx) wrote: Funny and entertaining. Though they did smuggle in a couple of people to pretend to be Chinese, the rest of the people seemed to be of the right nationality lol. It's so distracting when they do that! The Duke was as charming as ever in this adventure. For those who don't know, it's about an entire chinese village escaping to Hong Kong with the help of John Wayne, who ends up captaining the boat they flee in.
(gb) wrote: 1) Orson Welles and that final courtroom speech. It's the kind of thing that all other courtroom speeches have to live up to (even Costner in JFK is miniature in comparison). He turns a pretty good movie into a nearly masterpiece-level one with just a few scenes.2) Dean Stockwell is fun to watch in an early role, and odd that it's a re-telling of the case that inspired Hitchcock's Rope as Stockwell comes off like a precursor to Norman Bates (though made to seem a little more, uh, 'sympathetic'-ish?)

(ag) wrote: A low-budget film worth watching. You don't need an A-list actor to execute such martial arts prowess. Enough of guns and explosives. This is real physical battle. Plot is ordinary but action scenes made up for it.
