Brandon W (us) wrote: Ichi the Killer is not as enjoyable as I thought would be. I think it's one of those "style over substance" movies which is disappointing. It is pretty much a gorefest film, the effects are mostly good with needles through a guy's face, a person with hooks through a person's back, making him stuck, and other effects that look really good. But then there's some effects that looks fake like with over the top CGI blood, a person cut in half, and a face on a person that is suppose to be a muscle man. It's one of the most bloodiest films I have ever seen. The main problem with this is that the story is just very basic and it doesn't feel effective to me, and the film focused more on the gore effects than the story. The black humor on the fact that it's disgusting, is really funny and it knows that it's a gorefest film. So even though I like it fine, I just think it would've been better if Ichi the Killer focused more on the story then the gore.

Theo G (ru) wrote: This was a pretty good film in the western genre, i think. The acting is well done by Jim Brown, the gorgeous and lovely Raquel Welch is very good in the movie, brave and heroic and like always, the most beautiful woman ever. Hats off to Jim and Raquel! Especially Raquel.

Sam F (ag) wrote: This movie was weird, but cool and fun. The secret temple was really interesting. The rest of the movie was really cool too!

Justin D (us) wrote: It's just a neat, fun little sci fi movie from the 80s. Watch it if you enjoy lighthearted films with happy endings and cool effects (even for its times). This movie spawned a gigantic tv series run so that should tell you it was a successful film.
