Jim M (mx) wrote: Disjointed cyberpunk story where two near future operatives (Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe) train a bar girl (Asia Argento) to seduce a geneticist and convince him too defect to a rivale corporation. Christopher Walken (always great) and Willem Dafoe keep things interesting and the lovely Argento appears naked or in her undies for half her scenes making this a decient renter, but the disjointed story (and an ending the spends about 30 minutes summerizing the events of the movie) keep this from being anything spectacular.

Stuart M (es) wrote: I haven't been a big Kevin Smith fan because I only really started watching his newer stuff, by which point he's become a bit of a parody of himself. I mean, he's a funny guy when I see him in interviews (like An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder) or online, but that's different from directing funny films. I didn't even care much for Dogma, which is his most famous one. But I'd heard of this one for a while and thought I'd check it out. And oh, that's why he's famous! This is an actually good film that takes the feeling of meaninglessness that many '90s kids feel about their lives and makes it funny and interesting. It's got the young Jason Lee stealing all his scenes as a complete layabout and Jay and Silent Bob doing their crazy thing. I could watch films like this all day. Guess I'll have to check out Clerks now.
