The actors did a very good job and the cinematography was really good. It's a great romantic comedy of two strangers that deals with the hardships they face in their lives and that they think their own world in crashing down but doesn't realise that the other person maybe going through much worse.

I'm assuming it's because the plot isn't strong or doesn't have a great cast like in "Caddyshack" but it's got it where it counts which is the comedy and this movie is straight funny.
Tane P (mx) wrote: Absolute crap, bad acting, bad plot and a series of badly performed musical videos (That dated in record speed) strung together over a wafer thin plot line. Unlike Cherry Moon, the music does not save this egotistical pile of steaming crap. Prince must have made this for Prince and no one else
Eric B (ru) wrote: Not sure what to take from this film beyond a certain hedonistic "feast of the gods" ambience, but it's visually spectacular. Compound images, vivid colors, costumes...I'm sure quite a few acidheads have enjoyed tripping to this one over the years (if they could find a copy, that is).The green conehead in the powdered wig becomes a bit grating, but if you've always wanted to see Anais Nin with a birdcage over her head, this film will make your day.

Silvestre S (de) wrote: Being a decent remake it doesn't neccesary add anything new from Brian De Palma's classic but it does have a great reimagining of the original and has actors that get really into their charcter and Chlo Grace Moretz's beautiful performance causes to balance the film with enough of the information and foreshadowing to causes a lot of emotion for the climax and falling action.

There were a few things, at the beginning on the island especially, that seemed a bit too dumb for an adult to do. But still kind of believable. Writing HELP did not make sense, SOS should have been written. Getting stuck four years seems also pushing it. There is so much traffic all over that someone should have showed up. It does make a lot of comedic sense though. The film has a lot of heart. Good work!

The mention of the word "Favela" permeates the premise as if the makers had coined the term themselves - as if it is something new, exotic and foreign to their audience. However, since a foreign film called, Favela Rising, already exists, this bad bird will sink into obscurity (the spike channel).

Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) is assigned to investigate a series of murders in which low-lifes have each been methodically shot in the forehead and in the genitals. the maverick cop discovers a lead taking him to artist Jennifer Spencer (Sondra Locke) who, along with her sister, was gang raped 10 years ago before. Now she is reaping revenge. Hard-hitting action flick with glimpses of humor.
