Gordon C (nl) wrote: Solid cast and another solid story from the indie workhorse Eddie Burns. Big, splintered families will get this pic. Back East peeps. Might fall short with everyone else. Low on holiday cheer, he does a solid job of balancing a massive ensemble to keep you engaged.

Milla V (jp) wrote: Pah. Ei niinkaan mitaan uutta tarjottavaa. Puoli tahtea lisaa lelukoiran ansiosta.

Caitlin L (kr) wrote: Way confusing at times.

Robin L (fr) wrote: Strong characterization. Impeccable performances from incredible cast. Occasional rocky moments in translation from novel to film.

Dan C (fr) wrote: Almost every British film has copied this format since. They're all shit but this is brilliant!

HarriPekka P (es) wrote: Itmainen elokuva lnsimaisella kerrontatavalla toteutettuna. Joka tapauksessa vauhdikas tarina tempaisee mukaansa. Kauniiden kuvien kirjo keskeytyy paikka paikoin brutaaleihin sykyksiin.

Matt M (mx) wrote: Levinson and Williams collaborate again for an initially interesting and finally underwhelming and disappointing film Toys. It is the story of the son and mechanised daughter of a toymaker who leaves his toy factory in the hands of a warmonger general brother. The stupidity of its lead characters makes even the plot developments seem uninteresting and very hard to care for. On top of that, sadly, the screenplay seems unable to deal with its blatant anti-war messages in subtle and intelligence way, leaning towards obviousness and clich instead. Even the art direction adds to the mess of this film.

Lesley N (ag) wrote: If The Harder They Come was made in Brixton in Thatcher's early years (1980) with Brinsley Forde from Aswad & Double Deckers, then it might look something like this. Excellent film.

Jocey D (es) wrote: Network is a most notable movie, unlike anything produced nowadays. It is a brilliant masterpiece of TV v (C)rit (C). Howard Beale is a mad hero voicing everyone's fears. It is mesmerizing, and sad at the same time, to watch the descent into madness.

Molly R (au) wrote: I saw this after seeing it on Broadway with Vanessa Hudgens as Gigi. While I enjoy many of the songs, I'm not a huge fan of the storyline.

Jon A (it) wrote: Duke being earnestly heroic. Good example of why people think he only played cowboys and soldiers.

Andy S (ru) wrote: Served it's purpose by keeping me mildly entertained for 90 mins...Snipes is the brooding lip pouted hard ass kick boxing undercover cop / bodyguard who is on a secret mission only to be turned over by his corrupt ex collegues...Millions of bullets ( and no re-loads... amazing ) and the critics have panned the use of the Bruce Lee title... get over it... Hollywood will rob anything for a cheap $!!!
