On one hand, Snoop Dogg is a lovable, funny, wildly intelligent character that lights up the screen but on the other the whole 'movie' feels a little unguided and pointless. As a piece of entertainment, Reincarnation is a fun 1hr38m but as a solid documentary it all feels a bit faded...and not in the good way.

Adam R (nl) wrote: It's slow at times and not very engaging, but the ending was good and unexpected. I didn't like or understand the love triangle going on between the characters. On the whole, it's an odd film that lacks cohesion. (First and only full viewing - 1/20/16)

Alex T (au) wrote: Hackman plays an old fashioned gumshoe who is consumed by a mystery that's above and beyond his comprehension. Hackman tries to be like Bogart, but he is constantly making the wrong decision and is easily manipulated by the suspects. So, in that regard Nigh Moves is an anti noir film. The movie is completely self aware to the fact that its main function is as a commentary on the old noir genre. It uses the words 'case' and 'clues' with such emphasis that lets the audience in on the joke. And in the end we are left wondering, with Hackman, where exactly did he go wrong.
Stephen E (it) wrote: There is an inordinate lack of tension in "Frogs" when you consider that it's labeled as a horror film. Of course, this probably stems from the fact that the director, George McCowan, doesn't seem to understand the genre or how to accomplish anything in an effective manner. From a viewer's standpoint, it's apparent that the characters are deranged lunatics that are imagining that nature is out to get them when, really, nature is just living as it always has. The characters are all responsible for their own deaths. They either freak out during times that don't call for it and end up drowning or asphyxiating themselves due to their own stupidity or they basically walk into situations that only a mentally-ill person would find okay. Throughout the entire film, not one frog or gator or snake causes a character's death. And hello? How on earth can a frog kill a person? The answer is that it can't. The characters wander into awful scenarios that could have been avoided, die and then the frogs happen upon them. "Frogs" is an excellent example of how not to make a film. The script is unfathomably stupid, the acting is off-the-walls horrendous and, as stated before, the direction is so ineffective that it's insane. This movie really is one slow, dull, horrible mess.
Private U (nl) wrote: One of the earlier Amicus anthologies, with four horror segments linked by a single story, this time set in a fairground sideshow. My favourite was the last, starring Jack Palance and Peter Cushing as rival Poe collectors. Quite enjoyed the killer piano segment, too. Burgess Meredith is a treat as Dr Diablo.
James H (kr) wrote: Some excellent cinematography is the best thing about this film. Raquel Welch?s performance is not very good, but then again, she?s not in the film because of her acting ability. The plot is unusual to say the least. Oddly enjoyable.
