Yes, she plays a gun-toting vigilante. I can't wait to hear what Tom Cruise has to say about "Miss Meadows." I say rent, don't buy!

A bit of sadness, as we hear of Angie's father.Fox somehow tries to get Angie to reunite and bond with Dad who left her.During the holidays,it is nice to find cheer and welcome sweet films like this one

(mx) wrote: It is quite a stretch to imagine the actor who once portrayed Gandhi, also playing the fearsome, psychopathic thug who comes calling in this film. Any doubts concerning Ben Kingsley's versatility as an actor -- hard to imagine as that is -- are put to rest when one contrasts him in both those roles. The film-makers apparent intentions were to make another hip British crime drama with some sly humor here and there, and they are largely successful in that purpose. What I'll remember most about this film is the rapid-fire, barely intelligible, dialogue coming from Kingsley's character as he bullies the simultaneously lazy-eyed and horrified protagonist, so brilliantly played by Ray Winstone.
(es) wrote: Beyond terrible but has to be viewed just to see how bad a sci-fi movie can be, very laughable, terrible acting bad special effects and David hasselhoff. Came out a year after star wars but looks like it was made 30 years before. I did enjoy the girl in the bikini for most of the movie.
(au) wrote: when i picked this movie to watch,I thought to myself ...well,this is going to be just another pretentious indie film that every critic loved...but instead,it turned out to be a really good movie! It seems that, whatever project Mark Duplass is involved it will always be worth watching.
(jp) wrote: This is the best acted, best written Christian movie I've seen. Unlike some, it doesn't hide from ugly realities of life which gives it credibility. It has a message but it's not preachy; it comes organically and in a way that acknowledges that life is a messy business. They also portrayed church the way church should be portrayed. And by church, I don't mean the parts inside the building, I mean the lunch group on the quad - the visible community within the community - and inviting the outcasts into it etc. I think they nailed the theology in this one. I think I also related to Jake as he went through that transition of wanting to be cool and popular to wanting to make his life count for something more and knowing that different path would mean losing his friends and reputation. In summary, this is well worth checking out, Christian or not.
