David J (gb) wrote: "Into the Wild" has it's flaws, but it's a profound fact-based film about self-discovery and the human condition and I hope everyone gets the chance to see it.

Claire T (ca) wrote: hated this movie, don't want to see it again, didn't like this film, I thought it was crap and I expected better, I don't want this film on DVD, it starred Bsrry Watson and Emily Deschanel

Kaity J (au) wrote: I think the reason for me not liking this as much as other people did was the fact that Netflix marketed it wrong. I was expecting a documentary about Nicholae Ceausescu and his decision to eliminate birth control for the purpose of expanding the labor force in Romania. I wasn't expecting a documentary about the children that resulted from this law, which is what "Children Underground" is. That aside, watching what has become of these children was truly truly heartbreaking. It reinforced by beliefs that every child should be a wanted and loved child that has parents to provide affection, guidance and care.

Tim W (ag) wrote: Ok it wasn't THAT bad, but it was kind of dumb and ripped off a whole bunch of other movies. And the characters weren't well developed and THINGS kept on HAPPENING! Plus our protagonist was an emotionless asshole. Also Kevin Costner has the acting talent of a rock. It was mildly entertaining, and despite being one the the biggest flops ever, it has grown a bit of a cult following (either that or it's many peoples guilty pleasure dirty secret).

Al P (nl) wrote: I FEEL LIKE CRACKING this very minute.

Christopher B (kr) wrote: It all started here and it holds up in any decade and at any time. A Classic!

Martin L (es) wrote: Robert J. Flaherty was known for his documentaries, but this - which seems to be his most revered - is fictional. This movie was shot on location in Petit Anse Bayou, Louisiana - mostly in the swamps nearby. The three lead parts were played by locals. Steven Soderbergh did the same thing for his film BUBBLE (2005), which showcased mostly non-actors from the Wood County, West Virginia area - where it was shot. This film has its problems. The plot of the story, while easy enough to understand, is too thin - there isn't any conflict. Dialogue is scarce. Flaherty is very learned in the art of the documentary; the art of the drama is not the same. This aside, I think this film is exquisitely shot. It's really very beautiful to look at. He and Leacock created the most beautiful alligator-ridden swamp in movie history.

Lief T (fr) wrote: Wow - cannot believe Elizabeth Taylor looks so young. Pretty good story - love the father in this film for his comedy relief. The twins were not fans, perhaps the story was a bit too slow...

Vincent C (ru) wrote: Conrad plays a wonderful role in this movie. One of my favourite talkies.

Caesar B (fr) wrote: It's like the worst porno ever; nothing but assholes fucking with assholes
