A Dog's Breakfast torrent reviews

Ryan R (us) wrote: As a documentary it points out some pretty good points. As a movie to watch it was pretty difficult. Thanks for telling me things I didn't already know. Oh wait, I did know them!

Mike B (es) wrote: Fantastic concept. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Bob L (kr) wrote: A film about how religion brainwashes people and makes them delusional blinding them from the truth. Also speaks about how so many wars are because of religion.

Bogdana M (jp) wrote: The stories were interesting but not particularly fascinating. I was hoping for more detail but most of the people interviewed were taken in on the kindertransport at very young ages. Its a shame how almost everyone who lived through that time is gone. There are so many stories that are left untold.

Kenneth W (es) wrote: This is a smokers movie; meaning you have a high or on drugs to watch this movie. Or you can just use this as a example to a acting class on what not to do.

Private U (gb) wrote: There's a movie called this???? A new low.

Paul K (mx) wrote: Excellent. We had seen the play at the theatre, and watched the movie the following night. Both were good, with the play demanding more work to understand than the film. More words of explanation in the play, and it was lovely to see how these were translated into facial expression by the actors in the movie. A good ensemble cast, all five sisters well characterised. There were differences of emphasis between the two scripts, with a a couple of plot lines which differed completely. The power of the church is underplayed in the movie, together with the parallel between Lughnasa celebrations in Ireland and 'pagan' activity in Uganda. A beautiful film, well worth a look.

TonyPolito (au) wrote: If you enjoyed "Dances With Wolves," you can't go wrong here, since the core plot is essentially the same. Berenger and Hershey seek out and discover a Cheyenne tribe (untouched by centuries of civilization), slowly and steadily assimilate into it, then must choose within which world they will live their future lives. Attractive scenery, but don't expect the level of quality found within "Dances With Wolves." A spirit-soaring soundtrack plus dramatic-underlining narration by Wilford Brimley. Berenger wears his delivery here quite well. Hershey does a decent job; she's definitely more than mere eye-candy. Given this is the only film Tab Murphy has ever directed, it's impressive work. There's only been one production run of this DVD and it didn't seem another was all that likely any time soon. That may change, though, as the film's rotation has recently been increasing on TCM and AMC. RECOMMENDATION: A bit cliche when compared to DWW, but still well spent viewing time. But be sure to see it once before plunking down $50+ for a used (or bootleg) disc from eBay or an Amazon reseller.

Joe L (br) wrote: might be my favorite jean renoir film of the 5 i've seen. its premise is essentially a charlie chaplin film: crazy homeless guy shakes up a wealthy family after being saved by its patriarch. the film is a celebration of the zen-like joy of living without the rules and constructs of society, and the fun that can be had playing with them. features one of the greatest endings ever. it's fascinating how many films of the 1930's feature couples either divorcing, or in loveless, and therefore somewhat open relationships. was it a symptom of hasty, post-wwi weddings?

Marshall O (jp) wrote: Movies this intense I block away to my subconcious, like a dream. Or a nightmare.

Caitlin L (it) wrote: Love Chris Evans in this. A unique spin on boy meets girl. A cute movie with a cute ending.
