A Fierce Green Fire

A Fierce Green Fire

It is the largest movement the world has ever seen, it may also be the most important - in terms of what's at stake. Yet it's not east being green. Environmentalists have been reviled as much as revered, for being killjoys and Cassandras. Every battle begins as a lost cause and even the victories have to be fought for again and again. Still, environmentalism is one of the great social innovations of the twentieth century, and one of the keys to the twenty-first. It has arisen at a key juncture in history, when humans have come to rival nature as a power determining the fate of the earth.

An exploration of the environmental movement - grassroots and global activism spanning fifty years from conservation to climate change. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

John R (nl) wrote: I was going to say 3.0 but changed my mind. Lost soul, mental health issue, who knows, but a tragic death of a smart young man. He didn't believe touching peoples' lives was a reason for life but he touched so many (might be the whole point behind the movie). After graduating college and intelligent young lad goes in search of...something, meaning, but instead finds death in Alaska. Sad but true.

Atheer O (ru) wrote: very confusing even after the second viewing! It's not worth its time even as a piece of puzzle. and I like Suduko!

Blke W (fr) wrote: The Big GundownDirected by: Sergio Sollima Release Date: November 29 1966 1 hr. 24 minI'm no spagg western buff at all (war of independence if at all for that time and place) but the motion picture was allways what it was for manymany years and these guys were right up with it. I think this was a new phase (mid 60's) modernising film we knew it then, 50's for inventions and 60's for innovative thinking. Still, its a gun slinging flick, with the unofficially deputized marshall (Lee van cleef) going all out after the most hainus of all villianous fugitives around, taking his all cool calm and collected fastest draw in town an all around y'know (gotta get into it or its all over with you L ...ingOL)in persuit. Well things go less conventionally let's say but as allways its all in the action and mayhem falling to the stronghold of justices. It is kinda good enough to see dubbed (I generally don't go for intentionally) though the air of sophistication vCleef eminates carries the madness and menaces through from the rest of the cast. Not bad, different. Not a must see.

Andy F (de) wrote: Visually stunning and atmospheric but this very tame Hitchcock film doesn't have much going for it in terms of story. An oddity, it is a beautiful looking light romance and quite forgettable.

Nate B (ag) wrote: Good special effects for 1936. That's about it.

Mark K (ag) wrote: Subpar and unoriginal. The great cast can't save this one.
