A Hard Day

On the way to his mother’s funeral, a detective accidentally hits a person with his car. He takes the body with him and puts it into his mother’s coffin. The moment he feels relieved, he receives a call. This caller insists that he saw the detective’s hit-and-run, but instead of asking for money, he wants to know about the body’s whereabouts, leading to a do-or-die showdown of the witness and detective.

A Hard Day torrent reviews

Doctor S (au) wrote: Extremely tame mystery/comedy from an era of apparently less demanding audiences. By today's standards, this G-rater is too dull for kids and too simple for adults (except for those who think the Austin Powers sequels are filled with creativity.) Don Knotts does his shtick and gets a couple laughs. I watched much of this only because I had my right to choose taken away - I sure would have aborted if I could.Attaboy, Luther!

Isabella I (it) wrote: LOVE this doc that critics hate. Watched it last night. My heart broke all over again for everyone who had/has a Dad who didn't come back all the way from WWII. Now understand Holden Caufield in a whole new Billy Pilgrim way. And have a new understanding of why I was captivated by the Glass family when I read Salinger in the 60's. And why I am haunted by Esme. And why I must finish the novel I set aside when Elliott was diagnosed with his brain tumor.

Sumit B (mx) wrote: Its not some sort of new story but the narrative is gritting and all characters are well written. From the lead character to her drug addict boyfriend or Chittiappa and even the minute character of Naseeruddin Shah had an impact. Anurag yet again trying something new on his part. Though the end was a bit predictable to me which might have shocked, the movie is a must.

Roy C (nl) wrote: Like Johnny Test, only without the talking dog. Even then, there are talking snowmen.

Scott C (mx) wrote: Poorly paced with an unsatisfying ending.

Jenny V (ag) wrote: I loved all of the other movies, so this prequel was an unexpected treat, but it did not exactly live up to the other ones in my opinion. I was sad that this movie did not include my beloved Gilbert, and left so many unanswered questions, but it was still quite good overall and it was nice to see how Anne Shirley became Anne of Green Gables! The story reminded me a bit of 'Jane Eyre' and 'North & South' mixed together. Also, it's too bad that Megan Follows couldn't play the older Anne in this movie, I guess she was too young, but aging make-up could have been an option, oh well...

Jamie C (kr) wrote: A film that tries to be too big for its boots and the story gets too farfetched and silly but the action does make up for it just a shame about everything else in the movie.

Debsuvra G (es) wrote: I always believed that choice of medium is usually not a barrier to expressions if one has the skills and guts to express oneself. Persepolis is yet another proof of that. I personally love the idea of not providing a solution or a justification for a solution as an ending of a movie, Persepolis showed the hope, sense of belonging and identity of the lead character without giving out a definite resolution. The choice of 2D black and white animation to narrate the story is very interesting and particularly effective. B&W still has, hidden in its monochromatic, high contrast backdrop, an extremely effective method of creating an engrossing, focused environment that resonates with the audience. The autobiographic movie with its Iranian revolution setting, and lead character's journey through her womanhood made an excellent use of the medium. The west often makes heroes and villains or rather celebrities, be it good or bad, out of people just because it is good business, I don't think Persepolis belongs to that category of capitalism. A fresh and welcome change from western ideological sell-outs which tells a captivating story and gets out the way of our thinking, and in the process makes you reflect more rather than when you're given set pieces. Kudos to the director and her team for coming up with such an enthralling depiction.

Neal T (gb) wrote: Its a repeated script! Only reason for the 1.5/5 is Asin. lol. Horrible animation! Songs suck and doesn't make me jump on the "London Dreams" bandwagon. My suggestion is to go watch Jail!

Dane C (jp) wrote: One of the best and most underrated films of the decade.

EunKyu P (au) wrote: Heart-warming, tear-dropping, snot-running film. Takes the Helen Keller story to another level.

Brittny J (kr) wrote: This movie was intense with passion and hate.

bill s (br) wrote: The script and feel of this movie is pure 80's.That's not endearing that's the problem.

Film F (au) wrote: Cute...See if you have not already..

Donald W (ru) wrote: #WOODYALLENRETRO PODCAST PROJECT (available on iTunes)Anoter above average comedy from Woodys earlier days with a particular attention to visual and set design, plenty of physical humour and a very well executed and amusing performance by Diane Keaton, although can run a lil too long and kind of tapers on the end, overall an enjoyable romp

GG M (ag) wrote: Had it's laughs here and there okay movie.

Liam M (nl) wrote: Take a turn for the better once Betty White shows up and steals the show. Apart from that this is your standard creature feature fair...far from the worst thing you could watch drunk on a Saturday night.
