William W (br) wrote: Probably the final one in this warm series. This one is produced 7 years after the first one, but still with the same core team. Maintained the standard as the previous two, this one talk about family, relationship, neighborhood, and also succession. One of the best series of the Japanese movies in the past 10 years.

A lot of the unsubtle writing, including stereotypes, clichs, and sentimentality, is smoothed over by the lovely performances, especially the Bolger sisters, who are literally perfect. I feel a little guilty about giving it such a high rating when it has so many problems (there's even an Uncle Tom played shockingly straight) but those little girls were just too adorable for me to resist.

Leo L (de) wrote: Absolutely hilarious! Arush is an unlucky guy in search of true love. When his latest relationship sours, he decides to return to London and spend time with his best friend Bob. Bob and his wife Hetal decide to help Arush, and the two introduces him to their boss's daughter. This boosts Arush's optimism until the relationship fails as quickly as it began. Believing that his unluckiness will prevail, he decides to try to commit suicide but is saved. Sandy is everything that he wants in a true love, and Arush hopes that she will end his unlucky streak. When the time arrives for him to meet Sandy's brother, he is fearful and hesitant as Hetal hopes to reunite with her estranged father by telling a lie or two. Together, the couples decide to help each other overcome the obstacles that they have created for themselves. Great cast- Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal, and Jiah Khan. Worth seeing!

Jim M (au) wrote: A great exploration of growing up amid war, hilarious for the most part as the characters test the boundaries of their extraordinary new situation. Inevitably, the tragic effects of the conflict seeps in at the edges, and the film acquires a new poignancy with the final scene. Think John Boorman's "Hope and Glory" with added emotional power.

Eric J (mx) wrote: A thought-provoking unusual story. Although William Hurt won the Oscar but it really was Raul Julia who did most excellently. And of course, Sonia Braga plays three distinct roles as well.
