It's fine but it's really not as great as I remembered. Donkey aside the jokes fall mostly flat and it really lacks any charm at all. There;s one or two lines which really aren't appropriate as well. I know that makes me sound old, well I am. Felix only mildly enjoyed it as well to be honest, nowhere near some of the films we've watched recently. I won't be bothering with the bazillion sequels.

(gb) wrote: A fun monster-mash, but far from great. it starts off interesting enough but eventually treads over the same material all over again. The characters aren't too bad, but the monsters do end up feeling underplayed. The cliches are starting to become more apparent with this one.
(gb) wrote: Smart and fascinating historical musical about the amazing story of how the Declaration of Independence came to be. It centers almost entirely on the always interesting relationships of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson who nearly wasn't chosen to write it and when he was chosen fought to not write it. Tragically, there almost was no revolution because the colonies were intrinsically split over the issue of slavery, which Jefferson slyly tried to abolish in his Declaration.

(ag) wrote: This movie is a total mess. Not even a minute passes without grunts, punches or screams. Too much shit crammed into just over an hour of length and most of it is a giant brawl
(fr) wrote: Buoyed by the chemistry of the leads and a simple premise, this is a amiable comdey that doesn't feel weighted down by traditional rom-com tropes...until it hits the home stretch when contrivance and ridiculousness hit new heights and ALMOST undermines the entire film. Forgive the ending, and it's not a bad time.
