I'm always intrigued by the nine realms of Asgard and all the different races, and always wish the writers would spend more time explaining the "lore" of this franchise instead of just diving into the predictable action. I also was expecting classic elements of the Thor story such as the hammer and Loki turning evil, and was a bit surprised neither happened. Although I suppose that made this film stand out from the other Thor movies, and left plenty of room for a sequel.

Robert C (au) wrote: I guess the point of this movie is that even classical music can be subject to silly melodrama, but if we're going to go that route I wish it had been more tawdry.
Phillip P (it) wrote: Low budget, not really a good user but worth a watch for the comedic banter between the henchmen and to watch Cuba coldly tell his wife "Bitch go back to bed" out of nowhere. Seriously the henchmen steal the show.

Personally, I'd rather see the documentaries as I find it hard to accept the actors as the true characters. With that, Will Smith must be one of the most underrated actors. Good job being someone he isn't.

Nicki M (jp) wrote: Okay, but kind of off putting. A lot of blood and gore as you would expect from a movie about a freak case of rabies. It kind of made me uncomfortable at times - it didn't seem all that nice towards women, for example the extra "mouth", a lot of female nudity and though the lead actress is good, it is interesting to watch the extra features on this disc and discover she was actually a porn star. I'm a bit iffy on this director.

Emily B (jp) wrote: To enjoy a screwball comedy, you have to like at least one of the main characters. John Barrymore's overacted, Machiavellian director is insufferable, and Carol Lombard's initially weak and dull faux-movie-star is annoying. I chuckled a couple times but was sorely disappointed. If you want to witness Howard Hawks' true brilliance, watch His Girl Friday instead!
Samuel H (de) wrote: It certainly has the nostalgia factor that harkens one back the the era and culture of the film. Everything is there, even the classic (albeit cringe worthy) one-liners. Unfortunately my predisposition as a male halts me from fully comprehending the wonder of this film.
