Francisco S (gb) wrote: Berry is a very good actress and the best special effect on this film. Good screenplay with twist and turns that makes this film better. What makes this film more stupid is the tittle that nobody understand.

Ken T (de) wrote: An aging artist escapes to an island off the coast of Queensland, Australia. He initially wants to be away from people, but soon discovers inspiration in the body of a 22 year old Helen Mirren. The locations are beautiful - and some very nice underwater shots of the Great Barrier Reef. The film never does seem to take itself seriously with some truly farcical characters and moments which can be quite funny. And the film is certainly never boring. But the overall film structure seems quite awkward. Nevertheless, certainly worth seeing for the work of Michael Powell, James Mason and an early appearance by the terrific and fearless Helen Mirren.

Red L (us) wrote: Interesting family dynamics. Cecile (Jean Seberg) seems overly dependent on her playboy father played by David Niven. This film is more of a tragedy than a comedy though.

Greg W (ca) wrote: another funny screwball comedy

Moses G (ag) wrote: What can I say--I just didn't find it that entertaining. The characters were a little too quirky and the dialogue a bit too artificial for believability, thus making me not care too much about what happened to them. And the comedy just wasn't laugh-out-loud funny. If you love Wes Anderson, you'll probably love this movie. But for me, extreme quirkiness alone does not a great film make.
