Ahmed J (it) wrote: Cube was very interesting in the beginning and started well then fell short at the end very easily. I wish I could say more, that there is a deep meaning behind it, but even if there was, it may have passed over my head. I didn't get the claustrophobic feeling other reviewers noted. I was merely looking for an answer as to why they were there, but that's not what it is about.
Chris B (fr) wrote: Watchable, noirish, modern-day western consisting of one double cross after another. While not having a whole lot of positive things to say about human nature it is fairly entertaining and it keeps you looking for the results of the next double cross.

Ian G (gb) wrote: Blow is one of those gangster/drug trafficking films that tend to come out on a semi regular basis that seem to fall victim to classic films in the genre in terms of ripping off parts that are iconic and doing a mediocre job of making it there own or at least suffer from being pedestrian on themselves. In this case, Blow looks towards the iconic Goodfellas and Scarface, robbed them of some of the soundtrack, camera moves, swearing, narration and Ray Liotta in an attempt to focus on the life of George June played by Johnny Depp and his attempt to find fame and stability within the drug world with incredible highs and disappointing lows. Because of the lack of reinvention, the film just hits all the notes you would expect in a film like this and surround Johnny Depp with a decent supporting cast at the time including Penelope Cruz, Rachel Griffiths and the aforementioned Ray Liotta but alas, the film lacks a certain electricity to make it fresh. Not that I am surprised but disappointing.
