(fr) wrote: This movie was campy, hokey and completely unbelievable at times. I'm guessing though, that it was supposed to be like that in parts, and am not penalizing it too much for that. I'm mainly rating it so low because it's unoriginal, uninspired and rips off other movies.I'm not a big fan of Jesse Metcalfe and think his main role could have been carried better by someone else.. but the quirky main supporting cast is probably the best part of the movie.. Peter Stormare proves again he has got the skeezy 'misunderstood' evil character on lockdown.. no matter how often he's a horrible human being in movies, there is always a part you want to side with and root for.. other pluses are Kevin Sussman, Olivia Munn, Carla Gallo (Bones) and Armin Shimerman (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

The story and its many themes are channeled brilliantly by solid lead performances from Andrew Garfield and Peter Mullan. The film is a little slow, but by the end it pays off. Worth a watch.
(it) wrote: The ending is so predictably usual for this sort of psycho "horror" movies. And the whole line of "Session 9" audio tapes just don't fit into the plot, if to throw away this part completely the movie would not change a bit. So why it is called "Session 9" and 30% of the time spent on it??? BTW, this is a TV production, not theatrical movie.

Parts of it don't really work just because they are nothing more than long shots of sitting or whatever and it becomes annoying (which I get is the point) but despite a few big laughs, I felt like this needed to be shorter add I felt like it was time wasted. Interesting thought experiment though
