Julie C (jp) wrote: An inside look at a beautiful relationship between two of the most talented musicians making music right now. If you don't love the music from this film, and if you don't see the magic in the real way it was written, I don't know what to tell you. I loved it so much, I saw it twice before it left town.

Liliane S (br) wrote: Plot: ok. The movie could have been shortened though. Music: excellent. Cast: Jean Dujardin and Marie-Jos (C)e Croze, perfect chemistry.

Jeffrey F (ru) wrote: Awesome Werewolf Movie!!

Bengel W (br) wrote: A very hot and sexy group of actors get together with some motorbikes and guns and have a whale of a time shooting and not hitting a lot. The photography is pretty and gives a sense of quiet around the action creating a sharp contrast that is heightening of the tension of the chase. The acting and script is mediocre at times however these moments soon pass. Nibbles: Roast Boar.

Cody H (nl) wrote: I don't care if it got a rotten rating, this movie was freaking hilarious! Grade: B+

Joel A (gb) wrote: It's probably more accurate to describe Full Metal Jacket as an experience as supposed to a film. The opening 40 mins of the film showcasing the marines getting drilled are scenes you are not likely to forget.Largely a film on the conditioning of these men in the army & then the exploitation of them by the media whilst in Vietnam. In true Kubrick Fashion the visual sense of the film is sensational but there are so deep themes & a brilliant expose of the silliness & irrelevance of Vietnam, a must see War Film!

Stefan G (ag) wrote: This is one of those fantasy films that's so silly you probably won't make hide nor hair it, or at least not on the first time you see it. It's nonsense, utter nonsense, but it's actually quite entertaining. The film certainly has a unique stylistic flair, and I like the music they made for the film. Although the special effects are obviously dated and look silly by today's standards, they still look quite nice, as do the visuals. The acting is a bit ridiculous, but it's not terrible, and at least Jane Fonda does a damn good job in the lead role. Simply put it, this is a film that is not meant to be taken seriously, even in parts of the plot that would call for it. It is very campy, but it's full of humour, and I guarantee that it can be enjoyed on a basic level, so long as you don't read into it too much. The big problem with the film is that barely makes any sense whatsoever. There's not a lot of exposition, and the details the plot is willing to divulge in are pure nonsense. Sometimes, it's hilarious, but otherwise it's something that makes the film harder and harder to take seriously. It's not that it should have been more serious. On its own it could have been great, but its deeply flawed, and the biggest irony about it is that its brought down by the same level of camp that's supposed to make it fun.

dato v (au) wrote: A good movie with an original storyline. The melodramatic "hell" and the fanciful flames is the downfall of this movie. A good watch.

Timothy M (fr) wrote: Mildly amusing little romp. Paul Muni is uninteresting in the lead role, but Claude Rains plays the part of the devil with high-camp- it can be amusing if you look at it in the right way. Also, note how Casablanca-esque the ending is.

Joseph T (br) wrote: An absolute gem, great script and good performances all around. The elderly couple at the centre of the film, however, area pure delight, their sensitive, humane, and funny performances are done an injustice by any other word than perfection

Tiny T (de) wrote: A well-meaning, good-intentioned film with a message worth spreading, but it's ultimately just not interesting. Hard to recommend this one.

Christopher C (nl) wrote: There are some pretty good action sequences but that's pretty much it. The story is confusing because you don't know who the sides are to begin with. The mystery is mildly interesting but not enough to make the entire movie interesting.

Robbie H (ru) wrote: just one of the all time great classic noirs

Dingleberry P (br) wrote: Not as good as the first IMO, it drags and is overlong, but its best moments and amazing soundtrack make up for it.
