(br) wrote: Monster in the Closet is a satirical spoof on monster movies about a big, scary monster played by the late Kevin Peter Hall (he's also been Harry from Harry and the Hendersons and the Predator) that comes out of closets to kill people with his monster tongue appendage (Alien, anyone?). A group of people ban together to stop it, including two biology professors (one of which is the always delightful Henry Gibson), a newspaper reporter, a small child (Paul Walker of the Fast and Furious films), and an army general (Donald Moffat, from John Carpenter's The Thing). It's a surprising array of talent for such a silly film, but surprisingly, everyone plays well, and even a good is produced. We must also give Stella Stevens (who makes a small cameo in the film) a special thank you for showing her titties in a PG movie. I can just imagine millions of children rejoicing during the mid to late 80's! Anyways, the film is a surprising amount of fun and pure popcorn entertainment. Good for anyone who enjoys campy horror.

(br) wrote: They Were Expendable is a decent war film, but I have my reservations. I liked the action scenes against the Japanese, but I would like to have seen a whole lot more in terms of action. I found that the storyline itself lacked depth at times and was on the verge of boring. This sadly made the film a little overlong. However, John Wayne and Robert Montgomery were pretty good, along with the supporting cast. It is an alright war film. If I were to compare to 1953's Best Picture winner, From Here to Eternity, which was the assault on Pearl Harbor, I liked From Here to Eternity much, much better. This film could have been better.

(de) wrote: a must see movie, my rating for the movie is exllent not because of it is based on a true storey or the performance of the actors or the colors etc. but because it capture real moment that we dont have any idea how it occured, it justfy many factors that affected our lives, and when you watch it you may appreciate and understand how our ancsestors manage to protect the land and stand strong infront of envadors that has the upper hand on them, then although they were less in the numbers and the equipment...but they knew how to negociate and talk logic and be rational
(kr) wrote: Well, I'm not surprised how Original Sin was one of the most obscure and horrific movies of the last decade. So it makes sense that Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas performances were so awful. But in my mind, I think it's my favorite "bad movies" that are so good list because there's a lot of sex scenes (but not much T&A). It's a little bit different than other erotic thrillers like "9 1/2 Weeks" "Basic Instinct" and "Showgirls." Showgirls was actually pretty awful than Original Sin. I should really watch the "Unrated" version rather than the dreaded original "theater" version. Give it a rental.
(nl) wrote: Although this movie has some messed up morals I found it to be the most entertaining and most "laugh out loud" funny movie I've seen since Superbad... highly recommended for anyone who wants to burn a lot of calories laughing in the theater!
(de) wrote: Horrifying, fascinating, and visceral. Disgusting and depressing without being a tired slasher or clich horror film. Practically indescribable, and the only way to understand my rating is to see it. Not suitable for most people, however-the intimate dive into the depths of drug addiction and subsequent insanity are too much for some to stomach.
(fr) wrote: Really enjoyed this film, must see the second one!

The storyline for this picture is very mediocre with fewer life lessons and worthwhile moments than some of the previous films in the series. The animation is very clean and well done."I thought cats always landed on their feet."My daughter adores this series and we watched most of them off Netflix. This one was recently released so we grabbed it from Red Box and she loved it as much as the previous films in the series. I thought this was a step down and fairly mediocre.
