(ru) wrote: In terms of being original it was very good and a different look at a bad situation, but it just left me confused as to what had actually happened. I don't think anyone other than the creators really know for certain what happened. It was very 'student film' and the acting was pretty bad in some places. Not something I'll be watching again and something I'd definitely recommend not to see.

(gb) wrote: When the film gives in to the roiling emotions that in some sense must guide a story centered on doomed love and self-sacrifice, one is immersed in the experience. But too often the film takes itself to the remove of a clinical narration that almost always is simply explaining the images already on the screen. The problem, then, is a lack of trust in the power of the core material. Mason's and Gardner's scenes together and Mason's scenes alone showcase best what the movie could have been.
(br) wrote: Divergent was pretty good for an action movie but the film had so many flaws. The movie's twists and turns were so easy to spot. The action scenes in the film were weak and the only thing that held them together was the score. I could go on but I want to get to this point. Divergent was a fun action movies and one of the better ones!
