David E (br) wrote: An odd movie. You have the herky jerky camera shots that remind you of the Blair Witch project. Then you have the "so bad it's almost good" storyline, acting and direction that bring back memories of Plan 9 from Outer Space. Ultra low budget and all locations in and around San Francisco. One or two half way decent special effects towards the end. I felt compelled my Cthulhu to watch the whole thing

Matthew H (jp) wrote: The Kingdom is a taught thriller with some scenes of true suspense and intensity. It features some very well-made and well-crafted war scenes, almost bringing back memories of "Black Hawk Down". However, it doesn't have the same atmosphere as or feel to it: this film is very impersonal, while "Black Hawk Down" engaged our emotions more. It screams more "commercial blockbuster" than "engaging war film".

Alan D (es) wrote: A joyous journey of love, mostly of music. Some terrific original music, mimic the road traveled. It is said to the Conor, our protagonist, early in this amazing movie, his problem is, "hes not happy being sad." Luckily for us he learns to be. Even better is we get to watch it all unfold. Mandatory viewing.
