Eslam K (es) wrote: the best way to see this movie with popcorn

Grant K (ca) wrote: Surprisingly heartfelt subtly sentimental and thoroughly enjoyable. It's not breaking any new ground, but sometimes a warm story is all that matters.

John T (es) wrote: I liked this one. It's a mystery movie about who killing. A book editor moves in to an apartment building and then starts getting harassed.

Akshay R (ca) wrote: With an all-guns-blazing performance by the lead actor, GURU is though not path-breaking cinema, but it is a great piece of work by Mani Rathnam sir!

Hannah K (ca) wrote: And I thought I couldn't love Cinderella even more

Thomas L (ag) wrote: A muslim Mulan, but much less interesting.

Scott B (ru) wrote: Absolutely despicable film. Now, normally just being heavy handed isn't enough for me to hate a film, but this film can't even seem to get its own moral values it's preaching right. Breillat beats us over he head with yet another "all men are evil" show, but it gets worse: the film is aggressively homophobic in addition to misandrist. Watch the film's pretentious fans defend the homophobia by saying the gay guy was a "symbol". Then come some of the most disgusting things ever shown on screen, not as bad as Serbian Movie but still deplorable. If you find this film "artistic" you must be cinematically sheltered.

Georgieboy M (br) wrote: "My generation doesn't have any choice. I don't want to wonder like a ghost." These words said by Ding On before he fights against the killer of his father can depicts how he ended in that situation and the reason why this movie is so visceral, Not only is about revenge but a profound reflection about violence. Blood, dismember bodies, people killing each other without a clear reason, this is a wuxia that break the romanticism that evolves other movies of the same type. The violence is permanent in the film, It's a nonsense violence theres no reflection about that, but thats the intention of Hark, violence is there but never with a clear reason, and thats make you think that is because we live in a violent world where the only truth is a man's strength. "i always had a nasty thought on my mind. I want to start a fight between those two men and the winner will belong to me" With Siu Ling like the narrator of the history we found a partial point of view. The environment is seeing by the eyes of this weird girl that loves and hates Ding On and Iron Head in the same proportion and her voice remind us, all the movie, that we are towards a masterpiece. The script is almost perfect and the last ten minutes are a magnificent, the last scene is kind of heartbreaking, no surprise why its in the top 20 of all times in Tarantino's list.

Sgt C (ag) wrote: (67%)The absence of Peter Cushing, a smaller budget as well as Terence Fisher not being on board make this a slightly lesser Hammer Dracula flick, although how many times must the same people make essentially the same movie before it all gets too ridiculous? This is still a good offering that entertains throughout with plenty of fun to be had as Lee is given some lines for a change and is more evil than before. Well worth tracking down for Hammer fans as well as casual horror fans.

Gordon S (us) wrote: Spectacularly bad Russ Meyer film, so bad it's ALMOST good. Worth at least a peek if you're into all time campy/cult movies.
