DC F (kr) wrote: Not bad at all. Very original yet classic ghost story of isolation, helplessness and of course, victimization. Has some spooky parts (if not terrifying) and not badly acted particularly by our lead character. It has a memorably violent death towards the end that made me feel bad in a good way, the same way I suspect the director wanted us all to feel.

Pavan R (fr) wrote: Was a bold story line for Indian cinema...and was fairly well executed.... fairly good watch

Greg K (it) wrote: Wasn't sure what to expect... There were more than a few definite lulls as the movie progressed - enough inactivity that made my mind wander quite a bit. Despite the lack of development, there were some good portions that may intrigue you. I may pick up the book to see what it's all about.

Derek D (jp) wrote: Kevin Spacey did a great job putting together the story of Bobby Darin, one of the most popular singers of his time in the 60's. Spacey directed and starred and even did his own singing and dancing in this film that chronicles Darin's childhood then skips ahead to when he's older and just starting out. Darin didn't have drug and alcohol problems or anything else that gets thrown into your usual run-of-the-mill biopic. Bobby Darin was given just years to live, so he pretty much lived his entire life on borrowed time. He had the usual marital troubles and later finds out his sister is actually his mother, but - for better or worse - the story doesn't have the drama and theatrics that most films of these types seem to delve into and ride until the end. Still, Spacey did a terrific job in capturing the spirit and joy that performing did for Darin back in the day.

Bily T (br) wrote: Buzz Lightyear of Star Command the Adventure Begins is a film that was released on August 8th in the year 2000 and marks as the only Pixar film to be released direct to Video & DVD only and not made by Pixar themselves. Instead it was made by the Disney Toon Studios who are the ones who made the planes movies, the Tinkerbell movies & of course every single Disney Sequels along with midquels and prequels. This movie is a started up with the TV show that aired after the movies release and the first three episodes was a three parter of the movie cut up to be much shorter and replaced the voice of Buzz From the one and only Buzz Tim Allen to Patrick Warburton who played Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove and Joe from Family Guy and that really put me off for a while. This film has a okay story, okay characters, very good music & hand drawn animation which most Pixar films didn't have well at least a lot of hand drawn animation. Don't get me wrong there is one scene where it's the same animation as in Toy Story and Toy Story 2 but it's only there for one scene and that's it.So basically this film is just the first three episodes of the TV show put into one movie and I have to say that Buzz Lightyear of Start Command the TV series is a good show I really enjoyed it I found the jokes funny and the action really cool. I do take they wanted to make this film a bit more serious than the actual TV show but when a film does that it becomes a bit boring a solid meh.Anyways for my overall thoughts on the film I have to say that Buzz Lightyear of Start Command the Adventure Begins is good not Pixar good but good I'd give it at least one watch if you feel like watching it. I give this film a 6.0 out of 10 not the best from the other films but good for anyone who wants to watch a film based on one character from another movie.

Paul D (nl) wrote: A slightly generic plot for a western, but with some good scenery along the way and some heavy weight actors for this genre make it worthwhile.

Amanda H (ru) wrote: The biggest downfall of this film is that it jumps around so much it takes forever to figure out what's going on. Too bad, because the acting is brilliant and there is a huge amount of emotion, but much of it gets lost in all the confusion of trying to follow the plot. Matthew Goode is impressive, though.

Brett C (es) wrote: Review In A Nutshell:Kevin Smith has grown on me with splendid films like Chasing Amy, Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back; but then a misfire like Dogma comes along that lets me take a step back and realise that the director is capable of misfiring.Dogma is a story of two angels out to reach New Jersey in order to enter a passageway of a church that would allow them to re-entry into heaven; but that would disprove one of his principles, ergo a "chosen one" is sent to stop them, with the companion of angels, prophets and such. Similar to Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, Dogma is a road film that places characters in pit-stops that would eventually come together in its end on a climactic showdown; but what made the former such a fun and entertaining film, is the exciting and humorous events that the characters get into; here the road is filled with excessive expository dialogue that shows deep intellect of the Catholic religion, but lacks the ingredient that blends these together and create a sweet and delicious flavour; I was constantly chewing, waiting for an opportunity to swallow. I wanted the dialogue to be less on plot and more on comedy, like Mallrats; displaying conversations that are light in story but heavy on humour. There were only very few instances where I released a chuckle or a smile. I think the plot is too big for Smith's sense of style; he suits more when he is handling grounded and relatable characters, rather than fantasy and heavy symbolism.I could go on and on about this film, and the outcome of this review would still be the same, this film is an underwhelming and often dull journey that focuses too much on the wrong aspects of its storytelling. Kevin Smith is much too good for this.

Trent B (kr) wrote: An engaging doco about, not so much the sport, but why the people who do it, do. Works as a doco on a general level, not just for fans, along the lines of Murderball and Some Kind of Monster. Features honest interviews, superb narration and posseses a genuine cinematic feel in places.
