Jennie R (kr) wrote: I read that this received the Oscar in 1965 for Best Foreign Film. It was a powerful film. The characters seem so authentic that you truly feel as though you have been taken back to that time and you are a fly on the wall watching this drama unfold. The reason that I didnt give it five stars was that they did not interpret all that was being said. That seemed to take away from the film. This film leaves you wondering - Had it been myself, would I have stood up or laid down? Tony, the main character, portrays that struggle within himself so well.

Steve R (kr) wrote: Quite a close colour remake of the original 1922 version. Some of the make-up has dated badly and some scenes are so slow it comes off as indulgent, but the acting is great by the main cast (except Renfield) and there is some great writing not found in the original which makes the character of Dracula more interesting.
