This film articulates a vivid representation of how civilization and society operates in the world and to top it off, the directing is beautiful and the action is well done.

(es) wrote: About last night, an 80s classic comedy drama. After Nothing in common came out this film is even funnier. Hell, I even listen to the soundtrack as well. I only seen this movie once and I wis I would watch it again. The only thing that really got to me is all of the songs. I've have the soundtrack of it then I watched the movie. Check it out and see for yourself.
(ag) wrote: It's a nice, old fashion western. John Wayne is his typical self, but he plays it with a bit more conviction than what I'm use to. He became more lovable later on in his career, but back in the day he was great at playing the hardass, lone wolf type, even when part of a group. He acts almost like a villain, but he means well. The character was cemented in The Searchers, when you look at the relationship between Wayne and his best friend who he called "half-breed." People may not appreciate John Wayne that much today, but back in the day he played a role both old timers and a steadily more progressive, young culture could identify with. Here his character is a bit more conflicted, which is a nice touch. It's a solid film, besides the romance scenes. They were kind of goofy and contrary to the mood of the rest of the film. I didn't mind it for the most part. One scene toward the end bothered me a little. There was drama and suspense in the scene, then the lady stepped in and things went from dark to cute instantly. I didn't mind the romance when it wasn't messing with the overall plot. But it did add a spark to the somewhat dreary mood up to that point so I guess it was a necessary annoyance.

(kr) wrote: Super slow movie, doesn't get to the point, really boring, can't even keep you entertained till you reach its point. Just a long waste of time, giving us false hope through cinema.
(ca) wrote: you cant force a movie as provocative and authentic as HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT. a sheer and vivid portrayal of wasteland poetry.

(fr) wrote: "Scary Movie" ranks as a very pleasant diversion. There's enough big laughs and plain silliness to make for a textbook, short, to-the-point parody. Mission accomplished.
(gb) wrote: Good to come back and watch this fairly classic film with start the whole series. But lots of effects are just not there yet.
