At first when I read the summary I knew it would be something I'm totally not interested in, but I honestly ended up enjoying it! :) I'll admit that in the beginning I totally fell asleep, but once it starting picking up I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I don't recall specifically seeing any of these actors except the crooked cop from Law & Order in any movies I've seen. However, they all seemed to play good roles. They fit their character very well. The movie takes place in LA, two days prior to the new year 2000. I first thought the city was in total chaos because of the whole technology overload conspiracy that was suppose to happen at midnight of the new year, but it was due to the fact that a very influential and well respected black rapper from their community was shot. If that didn't make sense to you at the beginning, then neither did the technology that the movie was based around, "the squid." This technology had the power to record what the person wearing the device was seeing onto a small disk. It was then Lenny's (an ex-cop) responsibility to resell those disks on the black market. But when he witnesses the murder of Jeriko (the black rapper) and everyone involved, Lenny finds himself in great danger. I'm stopping there because I don't want to spoil the movie if you haven't seen it yet, but there are definitely some parts that I didn't expect. If you haven't seen it then I seriously don't think it's the end of the world, but if you're bored or have to watch it for an assignment...GO FOR IT! :)

Conor B (mx) wrote: This film had everything going for it but fell incredibly short. The situations were not funny and the comparisons to The Beetles were almost so dead on that it wasn't even funny.

Red L (br) wrote: Georgy Girl is a sad commentary on the choices available to a frumpy girl in the 1960's. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable movie.

Johnny R (nl) wrote: Alien Resurrection is proof that the Alien series is not trying to improve ever since Alien 3, however; there are still elements that make it somewhat interesting including some of the effects and the performances by Weaver and Ryder
