Hugo G (ru) wrote: I don't remember the first Pact that much to compare both of them, but I think that the first one was a little more superior, but not by too much. Therefore, this wasn't a very good movie because most of the story didn't make sense and also I didn't remember half of what happened on the first one. The acting was not that great and the whole story wasn't as strong as the first one, and I do have to say that the first one was more original and probably was better to left alone. In the end it left me more perplexed and confused because I still cannot get my head around all it's mythology and how everything is able to happen. ~September 20, 2014~

William H (jp) wrote: I fell for this movie hook, line, and sinker, and I totally got involved in this movie thinking it was a real documentary! Play this movie for a group of friends that's never heard of it before, and they will fall for it too, believing that poor Licchi is a prisoner to the big fat loser, and I guarantee somebody will stand up and shout "this is the greatest documentary of all time!" They will be fascinated by it all the way up to where the director dresses up his dad like the skiper from Giligan's island, and they get on Jose Canceso's boat to confront Licchi. And even after that goofyness, some in your group might be scratching their heads still thinking it's real!) I'm so happy I stumbled upon this hidden gem.

Walter M (ag) wrote: After being transferred to sex crimes from the bomb squad, Sergeant Chris Mankowski(Bill Burke) takes the complaint of Greta(Sabina Gadecki) who accuses millionaire Woody Ricks(Crispin Glover) of rape. In trying to pursue the complaint against Ricks, Chris not only has to go through Donnell(Michael Jai White), bodyguard to Ricks and his brother Mark(Andy Dick), but also gets suspended under the pretense that he is no longer living within the city limits. At the same time, Skip(Christian Slater) and Robin(Breanne Racano) are also interested in the Ricks brothers, but mostly just for their fortune. The popular line of thought concerning adaptations of Elmore Leonard stories is how often they go wrong(including two vastly overrated movies in the 90's), due to not understanding their sense of humor. On the contrary, even though it is not perfect, "Freaky Deaky" nails the darkly comic tone of its story of various and sundry characters on the make, some former radicals, in 1974 Detroit.(Which might sound odd considering it is at least partially centered around a sexual assault but it still works.) With just the right amount of world weary charm, Billy Burke is terrific in the lead, with Michael Jai White also doing very well in support. And as always with Crispin Glover, Christian Slater and Andy Dick, your mileage will vary.
