For me, Easier With Practice didn't require any practice whatsoever - I was immediately engrossed with this film. This film follows a struggling artist's journey for self-expression, appreciation, love and happiness. Themes many of us can understand. However, it's the adventures, and misadventures, in which the main protagonist encounters in this film that will make you want to stick along for the ride. Great debut effort by this fledgling director!

Jon C (ca) wrote: a job well-done all the characters are remotely developed each faced with their own problems and inner struggles the little kid 'Jamal' is the heart of the story having some semblance of power if not all of it drama ensues as each of the family members come out of the closet it's a very good movie with the drama, the acting, subtle humor, and emotions love is all that counts no matter how much we all dont get along

Stefanos T (br) wrote: Possibly one of the coolest Japanese noir I have seen so far. The cinematography in Japanese New Wave films tends to look similar in style, but Pale Flower stood out due to its brilliant lighting. The whiteness on the faces of the characters against the contrast of the shadows is just magnificent. The editing is quick, energetic and full of life. Believe it or not this movie actually moves. Of course, without the pathos and charisma of our main hero, this movie wouldn't have worked as it did in so many levels. I should also mention that the ending of the film is one of the most brilliant I have seen in because it's a great example of ambiguity versus clarity.
Brian S (br) wrote: A terrible suckfest, interesting solely for the presence of Ron Palillo (whom some may remember as Horshack from TV sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter.") He's just as awful as the rest of the cast in this very 1980s mess of a movie, but he's at least recognizable. Otherwise, nothing to see here. Move along.
Dean M (br) wrote: John Wayne and Claire Trevor were reteamed the same year of their costarring triumph in 1939's Stagecoach for this potboiler set in the pre-Revolutionary American colonies, but the results were hardly as auspicious. Still, it's a decent time passer and features Brian Donlevy in one of his better villain roles.
