Dustin D (nl) wrote: Battle Royale is gleefully violent, but does a decent job of character development at the same time. Far superior than the watered down American remake, The Hunger Games.

bob w (mx) wrote: while it's no tora tora tora, the film does a respectable job of depicting the essence of the battle. hestons'character insinuating hisself into all of the juicy tactical and strategic aspects of the event is a bit offputting but helps carry the story along. the sore point for me was his crash landing; after doing a fairly creditable job of emulating the wwii navies, both american and japanese, footage of a navy panther or phantom jet, circa 1950's was used, e.g., using a bactrian camel in lawrence of arabia.

Sebastin M (ag) wrote: Diahann Carroll estuvo espectacular. Ella es por lejos lo mejor del film.

Brian H (fr) wrote: Love this film! It was filmed in Pittsburgh, lots of shots from my old neighborhood on the Northside. I miss da'burgh Extremely silly and very funny with it. Matinee idol Hamilton gamely spoofing his own image as a suave Count Dracula stranded in disco-era New York. Always brings a smile to my face. You won't be able to get all in-jokes if you haven't seen the original Bela Lugosi version of Dracula (1931) before ...Absolutely hilarious! ^.^

Logan M (br) wrote: It becomes more and more emotionally charged with every chapter, and conveys a broad selection of powerful themes.

George B (au) wrote: IMHO: After several watchings and much analysis, this is a pretty perfectly engrossing thriller. Script, direction, acting, cinematography, set design, effects, all amazingly brilliant and state-of-the-art for '75. Sound, editing and music won Oscars. Each major scene is fascinating to a different emotion. Shaw's laid-back performance should be used in acting classes- slick and very effective.

Vincent P (es) wrote: rien fait de sens dans ce film, RIEN! le plus interessant est qu'on voit le centre-ville de Montral en feu, y compris la btisse o je travaille. Merde, je n'ai plus de job!!!
