In real life, mystery writer Agatha Christie disappeared for 11 days in December 1926. To this day, no one knows the details of what she did during that time. The film gives a fictional account of Christie's time away, showing her as a woman fleeing her own life after the death of her mother and the announcement from her husband that he is leaving her. She flees to a spa in Harrogate. With the whole country looking for her, an American reporter finds her and ultimately tries to help her.

(us) wrote: Not bad for an ABC Family movie. I'm actually a little surprised that they will do some of the things in this movie considering they are a family show and some of the things in the movie were a little touchy. Nothing horribly special about this movie, but it will make you laugh.
(kr) wrote: visually pretty good and pretty decent overall. i really appreciate annila for trying to do something a little different with these genres for the younger audience while keeping it interesting and close to home and not trying to pull off some kind of super standardized non-local plastic american hollywood bullshit - it's usually either that or catering to the motorsports loving let's-crush-beercans-on-the-forehead while singing the national anthem hicks or for the "hip and casual modern urban viewers" like so many other finnish directors nowadays do. it's an interesting combination, but he's not quite there yet, i think.
