Amanda C (jp) wrote: An inspirational heartf felt story about a wonderful funk band that had their lives transformed by their band leader and professor. What a tribute to this ground breaking man and a look into a time of hope and positivity for blacks in this country.

Kevin S (es) wrote: Interesting movie. I am glad I saw on cable instead of the theater. I think a small screen did not hard this movie. It might have helped.

Joey p (br) wrote: Everybody wants to be a hero, and in everyday life, you dont get to be the hero, most people either spend thier time doing nothing or being a victim. Darkon is an excellent movie showing the lives of people with a deep, rich fantasy world. Combating for peace, or domination the the realm of Darkon.

Sophia G (fr) wrote: I admit the acting was below standard and the cheesy script was at times cringe, *cough* *cough* Lil Bow Wow finding out Tracy was adopting him. However, as a whole I love the film. It's fun and harmless, something I would definitely get my kids to watch with me in the future (to be honest I'll probably watch it by myself :), guilty pleasure much).

shelly b (fr) wrote: think I may have seen this one. If its the one I'm thinking of it was really good

Andrew D (nl) wrote: Quirksome road movie. Dude crosses iceland to give his dead parents a proper sen-off. Encounters an array of odd characters, including Lili taylor. Looks good, feels slight.

J K (jp) wrote: Edward G. Robinson forever galvanized American pop culture with his gangster roles. "Yeah, see, yeah!" Bugs Bunny parioded the hell out of his guy.

Chris H (ag) wrote: One star for the paper-thin plot, but worth seeing for Dick Powell's charismatic performance and excellent singing. Not to mention the movie's showpiece musical numbers, produced by Busby Berkeley. Almost 80 years later they're both trippy and stunning. I can only imagine how fantastic they must have seemed back in the day.

Joshua G (de) wrote: Very good plot, but lots of nudity which could have easily been without

William H (us) wrote: Excellent holiday (or anytime) film for the whole adult family! The story humorously touches upon universally recognized themes of family love and dysfunction that all can appreciate! It is a must see!

Cathy N (kr) wrote: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The two main characters were fascinating, and the siege of Sarajevo was a heartbreaking reminder of the dark side of human nature. I was sad to see that critics gave it poor reviews.

Eric T (de) wrote: Cinematic masturbation. Oh, isn't it funny, we are covered in blood but riding the elevator calmly and hating the Muzak. Oh, isn't funnier that the lawyers are vampires. And isn't a lot of shouting while others crack lame jokes just so funny? The lead actor is fairly good but everyone else is too busy smirking and winking at themselves. Tedious to say the least. God help us. Or, on second thought, Dr. God, stay out of our cinemas.
