Paul W (kr) wrote: A purposefully small film charting a not particularly eventful few days in the life of a group of characters living on the sidelines of London. It lacks the emotional intensity of a typical Shane Meadows film, but still evokes a melancholy that anyone who has ever been lonely in London will relate to. Towards the end we seem to be heading for a "Y Tu Mama Tambien" moment, but thank god the wonderful Thomas Turgoose keeps his y-fronts on.

Although it has flaws like the lack of character development, it's still a very entertaining movie to watch. The story is smart, yes it borrows heavily from other movies, but it can do that because it has a voice of its own. The pace is perfect, action rock solid and performances by LaBeouf, Monaghan and Billy Bob Thornton all outstanding. Underrated, if you ask me.

Laird J (us) wrote: Beautifully photographed and surprisingly relevant, but probably the least interesting of Mann's noir cycle. Go with T-Men, Raw Deal, or He Walked by Night for the real deal and save this one for when you want something a bit outside of the usual noir setting.
Trevor C (ag) wrote: Man I love me some Scott Adkins and this does not disappoint. Yes the acting is mediocre, but who cares its a non-stop action movie with great stunts by Scott Adkins and entertaining fight scenes.
Jo M (it) wrote: Peter Debruge is spot on...and even the scenery palls after over two hours of being asked to assess every last stalk. We've seen this all before, in exactly the same order and if the book was far more intense then this is confirms the 'lite' consistency of this rather self-indulgently filmed epic.
