(mx) wrote: Although the plot pretty much repeats the similar story of the Afro Samurai series, it was a great way to continue the series. The animation is gorgeous and fun to watch and the fight scenes are as intense as ever.

You knew deep down inside you soul you're life was over. I still blame the government it was their way of controlling the population and if u look at ot today. Theres many different stages of HIV / AIDS.

(mx) wrote: WHAT I LIKED: Two words: Tom Hanks. Yes this is arguably the legend's best performance, and it just goes to show what talent he has in the fact that he can literally hold an entire movie on his own. The character he builds is really meaningful, and the paces he's put through make for a very despairing and heart-breaking experience indeed.WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: The plot drifts to shore a little in the second act as it's ultimately just the same plot dealing with the same ideas pretty much from start to finish. Only Tom Hanks' magnetic performance is able to keep you there.VERDICT: Tom Hanks is the glue that keeps the audience's eyes on screen. This is without doubt his most impressive performance yet.

(jp) wrote: Great nuts-and-bolts heist flick that turns into a film-noir hunt for answers. Elam and Van Cleef turn in solid performances.
(fr) wrote: It was maturing into quite a thriller, and then it became a ghost story, and went to the drains. I just realized, Chris Egans looks like Heath Ledger's younger self.
(kr) wrote: Pretty sicko, especially brutal gang-rape scene which lasts over a half hour. Of no redeeming value whatsoever, even after vengeance is served.
(ag) wrote: This film, apart from elements of the soundtrack and the cars, has aged gracefully. The mix of the cop buddy movie with a plot that predates District 9 by 20 years is still as potent. Excellent performances from Caan and Patinkin carry this movie strongly through to the end. Clever, visceral and heart felt, this is a well constructed twist on the cop movie.
