Barbara S (es) wrote: Incredibly well done movie. Wonderful acting, photography, and music. I was mesmerized throughout and will be watching it again. I will be recommending it to all. I've seen reviews that said it was "slow". I thought it flew by, and was totally absorbed in the story. It's one of the best movies I've seen lately.

Braxton H (fr) wrote: Great ride. I went into this thinking it would probably be a b-grade creature feature adn was pleasantly surprised by a compelling story, good performances and solid production quality. I strongly recomend it.

Mikael K (ag) wrote: A magnificent picture that shows that a ridiculously low budget and shooting on video can indeed produce a visually unique and completely beautiful piece of art. ??The Lost Coast?? follows three reunited high school friends over one Halloween night as they wander the streets of San Francisco. The friends have unsettled stuff in their past and a tender note of tension carries the narrative until a breathtakingly beautiful resolution is reached. Dreamlike, haunting and lyrical stuff. The flick is just completely filled with a certain permeating ambience that makes it feel like you're with the characters in the mysterious and possibley dangerous world of night. And that feeling sticks with you even after the film ends. This is how the very best movies work, and ??The Lost Coast?? reaches a level on which I dare say that it fulfills its duty perfectly.

Grey W (ca) wrote: Had never considered Tommy Lee Jones as Robicheaux from my reading of the books, but it worked surprisingly well. Only occasionally I couldn't catch what he said in the narration. Otherwise, very good!

James Tiberius K (nl) wrote: My favorite foreign film of all time. There were a lot of things that I could identify with in this movie because of my German heritage.

Paul D (us) wrote: Low key throughout but strong characters and good realism keep this sad tale of reclusive lives a very interesting watch.

Blake R (ru) wrote: A pretty cool zero budget gang flick from psychotic director Jim Van Bebber.

Brian P (au) wrote: Pretty bad, pretty terrible, pretty horrible. Do I need to say anymore then that?

Roman P (ag) wrote: OK, ok. I should start thinking rationally how to get the age. P.S. Something inside me says that Hollywood is not rational too much..

Linda H (it) wrote: The first part of the movie was promising, and Olivier is always worth watching. Noel Coward was disgustingly perfect as the landlord; but the last 30 minutes or so was SO ridiculous that I had to laugh a couple of times. Perhaps it's just dated ....

Ashley H (de) wrote: Pocketful of Miracles is an incredible film. It is about a New York gangster and his girlfriend attempt to turn street beggar Apple Annie into a society lady. Bette Davis and Glenn Ford give amazing performances. The screenplay is well written. Frank Capra did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor and drama. Pocketful of Miracles is a must see.
