Conrad K (nl) wrote: Very similar vibe as Gentlemen Broncos. Awkward situations. Seann Williams Scott keeps getting better and further away from American Pie fame. So weird how many "low budget" movies come out with a great cast and a good story that fly very under the radar. So weird...so awkward...overall funny.

Middle-aged man with dull job and a crabby father in a nursing home lives across from a dance studio. After a physical his doctor recommends some exercise and the guy joins a tango-class for beginners. There he meets a young woman. I just flipped over this movie. I remember him as so quiet, polite and proper. Tired. She's not his opposite(as you might believe), but rather normal, with a selfish boyfriend. And when they dance... Holy s**t! Forget Dirty Dancing, that was just crude and obvious compared to this. Now this... this is seriously hot. I even forgot they spoke french after ten minutes. This is a movie for all of you who like tiny love stories without all the clichs. I think my love for this movie might have something to do with my obsession for Commissioner Gordon in the Dark Knight, but I'm not gonna explore that further. I just know it clicked with me, all the way. I even wanted to learn how to tango! Insane...

Guillaume H (ca) wrote: I really like the general texture of this movie, its hushed tones and sun drenched lighting. The script, storywise, is ok, if you can wave past the endless bad decisions, but character wise... its pretty bad. Justin Long's Darry is unbearable, he is so shrill and dumb you kinda want to punch him, and there's only so much you can blame on brother sister bickering. I know stupid actions are the motor of such horror stories but to that degree? Come on.... So this is a scrambled opportunity that really should have been better but its still a bit above the average horror fare of the same era.

Tessie P (it) wrote: I don't understand how this has such a low RT score. I've always loved it and it holds up. Interesting premise. Likeable cast. Brendan Fraser is a little uneven with his character, but he's still so charming. The best parts, by far though, are Sissy Spacek and Christopher Walken. Honorable Mention to Dave Foley.

Allan C (mx) wrote: Harry Potter has trouble with a mischievous troll in this 80s classic. So it's not the Harry Potter you're thinking of, but Michael Moriarty plays Potter, the father of a family moving into an apartment building when a troll possesses his daughter. Writer Ed Naha would later bring us classics like "Dolls" and "C.H.U.D. II" so it should come as no surprise that this film is of equally campy quality. But for a silly movie, it has a surprisingly decent cast that includes Moriarty, Shelley Hack, Brad Hall, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, June Lockhart, and Sonny Bono as a swinger. This is also a good score by the underrated film composer Richard Band. This film is much better than the similar Charles Band production "Ghoulies." I know they are terrible movies, but I have a soft spot for Charles Band productions.

FINE ALES. TOTAL ANNIHILATION."We are going it to make to the world's if it kills us"The final chapter in Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy is considered the weakest but I fine it it to be the most fun. You like beer or ice cream? Either way you should love this movie. The film is set twenty years later after their first attempt, the five musketeers reunite to complete the ultimate challenge-one night, five friends, twelve bars-a boozy quest on which only the strongest will survive. They soon realize that reaching their final pub,The World's End,may be the least of their troubles. They're having the time of their lives, ready to take on the world...but tonight they might have to save it.This film is a cornetto film at heart but it spends more time on it's satiric look on science fiction and it's characters first. We still get those fence jokes,a cornetto reference and lot's pf pints. The satiric story is original, fun and makes for the funniest film in the cornetto trilogy,I mean I laughed hard more times in this then I did Hot Fuzz. The characters are easily the best thing in this movie cause you probably know someone like them.Everything you could want in a comedy is here, the action, the laughs, the love, the cartoonish stuff going on if you want to grab a group of friends and have a good time I recommend you go to The World's End,which I'm giving a five out of five.
