True, it is not a great film that will go down in history for anything, but I think everyone who worked on it did a good job. Performances, costumes, special effects, it was all well done. I don't have any real complaints about anything. It was what it was, and that was an enjoyable enough ride to merit three and a half stars.

Traded features some familiar faces including Quinton Aaron as Silas and Kris Kristofferson as Billy. Martin Kove does a good job at making you hate the short-lived Cavendish, who was my favourite character by the way, and you've got to love Michael Pare's (Clay) line "Samuel Colt's been known to make all men equal." Sadly, Kristofferson's acting, and dialogue, was weak and though attempting to be intimidating, he is not. I felt Kristofferson's final scene might have also been a farewell? I don't think this a good thing for Tom Sizemore, but I barely recognized him as Lavoie. Makeup, especially Marie Oldenbourg's (Girl), and costumes could've been done better. Near the finale, Traded features a rather unique torture scene and some extreme violence. Not sure why Lavoie would open his mouth but if I think too much, I'll probably start hating this film. Watching it once, a genre fan won't be bothered too much. Not sure if that fan will ever come back however.
