But it's good to know that people save other animals. And if you like animals this could be the movie for you!! To see!

This one definitely falls under the category of one that feels like an episode and not a movie. It's mildly interesting, but overall pretty dull.

Very nice performances by John Hurt and Jason Preistley - an overlooked gem. This is one of my favourite exchanges of dialogue ever - and it should be applied in life as often as possible.Taxi Driver: The sign says "no smoking."Giles De'Ath: No, the sign says "thank you for not smoking." As I am smoking, I don't expect to be thanked.
Will L (au) wrote: The 'Evil Dead' franchise, aiming more for an action/adventure vibe in an attempt to broaden its audience, takes on the cheesy monster movies and sword-and-sorcery epics of the 60's and does it brilliantly. 'Army of Darkness' is a worthy addition to the series, as well as a wonderful, whimsical comic homage to Ray Harryhausen.
Vuk O (br) wrote: Try watching Encino Man on a Sunday morning, you'll feel great. It's a dumb, fun comedy that doesn't present itself as anything more than that, and it serves its purpose perfectly. Mikey from Goonies stars as a high school loser who digs up a frozen caveman (a pre-Airheads Brendan Fraser) while digging a pool in his backyard, and with the help of his hippie best bud Stoney (Pauly Shore with the right dose of annoying) they pass him off as a foreign exchange student. Seems legit, right? Sure, Mikey also has to get the perfect girl who's in love with a jock douchebag, but that't pretty much it. You get appearances by Mikey's Goon-friend Data, Robert Trujillo also pops up, as well as a bunch of actors you know from other comedies of the late-eighties-to-early-nineties period. In the genre of stupid comedies, Encino Man is highly enjoyable, much due to its cast of young enthusiastic actors, some of whom would later become stars, washed up stars, or simply Hollywood mainstays. Maybe it's a bit dated because it's full of cliches, doesn't poke fun at political correctness and has no social satire or vulgarity which are crucial elements of modern comedies, but Encino Man is definitely gnarly, awesome and rad.
Dan B (nl) wrote: Utterly forgettable 80s slasher, early appearance by George Clooney and a disconcerting turn by Marcia Brady (Maureen McCormick) notwithstanding. There's an attempt to have some tongue-in-cheek fun with the genre, but overall the picture isn't even good enough to be bad.
Robbie M (kr) wrote: A delightful waste of time. Shirtlessness abounds, of course, but there is also the premeditated camp bonus of Barbeau and Stole. God, I feel stupid, but oddly enlightened.
