HungYa L (es) wrote: Put aside the fact that Stephen Hawking already divorced his first wife, Jane, while you are watching this biography movie. One simply needs to enjoy the years when S. Hawking dealt with his disease, did his early brilliant discoveries of black holes and confirmation of the Big Bang theory, courtship with Jane, etc. Benedict Cumberbatch is an able actor to put on performances of how the disabled person acted or talked in his daily life. If you have read S. Hawking's Brief History of Time or already way too familiar with his theories, scientific terms in this movie would not be a problem at all because they did not go into too much detail or deep stuff at all. Stephen Hawking has made Albert Einstein beautiful indeed.

Bruno L (us) wrote: Really good movie. It tries to be a little bit similar to City of God. I personally thought that the dialogues were weak for the movie. The story was good and the way how the story was shown was amazing with all the flashbacks. Good job from most part of the cast.

Matt S (es) wrote: This is one of those films that reminds me of why I love European cinema so much. Subtle, almost to a fault. This is NOT a big, bombastic movie that goes through the motions and wraps everything up with a big bow. It's a slow moving story of longing and desire that builds up just enough to allow your heart to ache along with the main characters.

Konrad A (ca) wrote: This was a good movie but a bit inappropriate but it is a funny movie my favorite character was Chubs. Chubs was funny with his wooden hand and how his wooden hand would brake and he would have to glue his wooden fingers back. All so shooter was funny he made a good villain. This movie is good but has inappropriate behavior

Mike G (ca) wrote: One good thing is that it's only 90 minutes. Bear Gryll's must HATE this movie! "What idiots!" was an oft-repeated phrase as I watched this "Open Water" in the desert. B-movies just don't get much B-ier...

Carmela (nl) wrote: A definite favorite for me. This movie showed me the many facets of the home front during World War II. It moved me with sweetness, humor, tragedy, love, and hope. The film's theme echoed through every scene. I loved how the camera passed people in crowd scenes, it paused briefly to give ear to their individual lives as they spoke. And it was all so real. In this movie, there isn't that and-it-all-worked-out feel. People miss trains, romances cannot be fulfilled, triumphs are small and unglorified, loss is real, and expectations are not always fulfilled so grandly. The relationships are unique, not clich, and very much like what you'd find in real life.Tears have never felt so wonderful when you are filled with inspiration and hope.

Jordan A (ag) wrote: This movie pure crap. Overacting stinks throughout this clunker. Oliver Stone really sunk low with this one and Jaime Foxx's character is scarcely underdeveloped. 1 out of stars.

corey m (it) wrote: for those of you who don't know they were trying to get an NC-17 rating. Which if you think about it, is way harder than one would imagine. back in 1995 male frontal nudity was a no no. and graphic gore would be hard to show the artistic side of. That left rape and graphic sex scenes which it delivers on. not all movies have to be for kids and this was a first step in a return to that and i applaud it's effort on that note. freedom of expression means we should be allowed to view and critique such garbage. i score it a three for it's intent in society rather than the awful contents of this films lousy dialog unsympathetic characters
