In "An Amish Murder", the peaceful Amish farming community of Painter’s Mill, Ohio, is shattered when a series of brutal murders leaves the town with a sense of frailty and loss of innocence. Among the most affected by the tragedy was Kate Burkholder (Campbell), a young girl who survived the terror and, as a result, left the Amish life behind. Fifteen years later, Kate returns to Painter’s Mill as its Chief of Police. Certain she’s come to terms with her past, Kate’s renewed life in her hometown is shattered when a murder investigation triggers deep-seated emotions from her childhood and exposes a dark secret that could destroy her.

Then the idea at the end of the movie to burn the rotting, decaying house down due to the lack of maintenance, or fixing the leaking roof. Come on, you'd think being "mountain girls" they would be able to figure out how to make repairs like they figured how to gather food in the forest, not act like they have lived in the city all their lives. Now they are going to live in the forest with out any real shelter as the picture fades out? Very unrealistic movie.

William W (fr) wrote: I really enjoyed this. Anne Fontaine really did a fine job of showing the trials and tribulations, the ordeals that Coco had to go through in order to be vastly successful. Probably one of my fifty favourite films by a female director. The film grew over its course as she herself bloomed and gained more self-confidence, and was a sumptuous delight with ravishing and inspired performance by Audrey Tautou. Beautiful to look at and with wonderful soundtrack too, showing the multi-faceted beauty, both inside and out, of the amazing French woman. She is always watchable, gorgeous and fervently likable--and was a fine choice to do the portrayal. This was Important in showing that she was nobody's wife, mistress or fool, and was one of the best in coming from awful circumstances which could have crippled others, but through discovering and believing in herself became an icon without peer.

Aaron B (es) wrote: Not exactly a story here, but it has it's moments. It's the same as the first movie with a different settings. Fun but doesn't have the charm of the original.

Simon M (ru) wrote: Landmine Goes Clikc is a very thought provoking movie. But it is a movie, its fantasy there are people who take it way too seriously. Think about all the revenge that it contains, its dark terrifying and horrifying this is what makes this movie so good. Its not about effects, gore, fast action, its about thinking and thoughts of revenge. Nothing else.
