This is a probing tale set in turn of the century Japan, involving three people trapped in a complex relationship of love and friendship. Daisuke (Yusaku Matsuda) is supposed to be out looking for a respectable job and equally respectable wife. He is 30 years old and devotes his attention to music and literature; his family is wealthy and can support his interests. When his friend Hiraoka (Kaoru Kobayashi) returns with his wife Michiyo (Miwako Fujitani), problems arise. Hiraoka, not the best-tempered person in the world, has just lost his job. His wife Michiyo was once in love with Daisuke and when the two see each other again, their old feelings surface. Michiyo is not really happy in her marriage to Hiraoka, but Hiraoka, who condemns Daisuke's unwillingness to work, was once his best friend. Should Daisuke choose to keep Hiraoka's friendship and the respect of his society by ignoring Michiyo -- or rebel and go after her? . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Raelynn A (au) wrote: Have to give this one 4 stars just for the cast alone and the crazy dialogue. Alex Cox was supposed to put on a concert with the Pogues, Costello.. etc., funding ran short and Straight to Hell was the result. Kind of a homage to old westerns... Not many people will truly get this movie, nonetheless its a great watch :)
Julie M (us) wrote: I just watched the DVD. Refreshing to see a really great movie with no special effects. A really good watch and a very believable story.
Allan C (us) wrote: Okay third outing for Hammer Films eight film Dracula cycle of films (six if you are only counting the Christoper Lee films). Christopher Lee again returns as the count and is once again excellent. The story isn't all that compelling though, despite a decent premiss. A local Transylvanian priest exorcises Castle Dracula and when the count returns, he not so happy about being unable to enter his own home. Bland characters and pacing kind of drag the film down, but Freddie Francis provides the film with plenty of stylish touches and James Bernard another solid flimsier.

Daniel M (ca) wrote: Wreck-It Ralph is one of the best video game movies of the entire decade. It is the Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Toy Story of video games. It had a solid story that is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, colourful and creative animation, memorable characters, great humour, interesting cameos and great voice acting which were done by talented people such as John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch. It's a must watch for moviegoers and gamers all together. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
