Andy Hardy's Private Secretary

Andy's gone and done it this time. All set to graduate from high school and he flunks his English exam -- in spite of the fact that Aunt Milly is his teacher, and that the Judge has gone to all the trouble of getting him his very own private secretary (Kathryn Grayson in her screen debut). What makes this Andy Hardy movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter, "even better than the wildly cheered Love Finds Andy Hardy?" It could be Mickey Rooney's irresistible charm. Or could it be the perfected plot of Andy juggling his steady love (Polly Benedict) with his growing affections for another girl? Or perhaps it's the nonstop laughs Rooney generates with such antics as trying to buy ladies' hose or letting the Judge take a spin in his jalopy in the pouring rain. Whatever the case, here's your chance to return to a simpler and happier time with the family America loved to love.

Deb K (kr) wrote: This movie was not a horror or thriller, but just a simple story about a boy and his grandparents who are being harassed by a pedophile. If you only like horror films with blood, guts, and mindless killing this is not your movie. Cloris Leachman did a fantastic job as the grandmother. The scenery of the film was awesome. If you like different films, check it out!

Darrin C (fr) wrote: It had an awesome title and cover so I thought it might be good! And was I ever wrong!!! It was boring and full of long dialog that didn't even pertain to the film. Very poorly acted and in fact, I only rate it as high as I did for the cover art and film's scenery.

Andrew M (us) wrote: Ben Affleck's directorial debut is a knockout. His grasp on capturing the life of Boston is second to none. This will rank high in years to come as one of the best modern thrillers out there.

corey m (us) wrote: the best motion picture with the words final fantasy in the title. the falw is if you didn't beat the game final fantasy 7 you will be kind of lost as that is where this world is explained...

Johnny B (br) wrote: You can kind of tell this wasn't originally written as a Hellraiser movie. As such it plays like a spin-off, though they tie it in nicely enough. Starts off sort of boring, but it gets okay toward the end. Effects are kind of cheesy, and it takes place in Romania but everyone speaks almost perfect English.

Allan C (ru) wrote: Interesting take on the Wyatt Earp legend, which tells the story of what happened AFTER the Gunfight at the OK Coral. Garner is solid as the stoic Earp, but is unfortunately not all that engaging of a character. Robards, however, is stellar at the loyal and morally challenged Doc Holiday. The other highlight for me is the excellent Jerry Goldsmith score. However, considering the cast, the director and writer, I'd have thought this would have been a classic, but it's merely an above average western. Still, it's very much worth watching.

Paul D (ca) wrote: It's been done before, but the mystery killer vehicle story is not too bad, nor is the goriness of it all, it's just some terrible acting and mediocre directing that lets the whole thing down.

John D (de) wrote: Unfortunately, attack of the clones manages to have the exact same results and the phantom menace. It's boring, characters have no development, the CGI is terrible, the acting is terrible, and the dialogue is even worse than the phantom menace. The story is horribly executed, and the love story has become a meme at this point because of how terrible it is.
