(gb) wrote: Other than Benning's wonderful performance and the lavishing costumes, it's nothing very special
(fr) wrote: A very humble and low profile biography for such a big person as Che Guevara. This movie is able to beautifully depicted the journey, without too ambitiously pushing all the ideas that Che learnt. This movie really talks.

(jp) wrote: I have seen Zapped! so many time over the years as a TV edit w/ painted on bras that it was nice to see how it was intended..w/ lots of sugar boobies. A nice twist of the Carrie theme w/ Baio using his telekinetic powers to make people lose their clothes. Hardly good because @ its core its just a stupid T&A comedy it is a decent 80s time capsule back when Scott Baio & Willie Aames were a comedy duo. Hell it's better then Charles in Charge. Love Scatman Crothers in this though. The scene were he gets a blast of marijuana smoke & has his salami dream featuring LaWanda 'Aunt Esther' Page is fantastic. If a old man can't have his salami what else is there in life?

(gb) wrote: This film feels more like a focused meditation, so unfortunately it requires a lot of focus and determination to grab a hold of what Dreyer is trying to say. This, as his final film, definitely feels like so because of the almost darkly foreboding senility that you feel you're at odds with once it's over. To sum it up: love is a bitch, so we must either accept that, or not. The entire film is slow, quiet, and very minimalistic (which is not a bad thing, but I've seen him do much better), so unless you're prepared to "pay the toll" you might want to stick to Dreyer's more incredible works first (Passion of Joan of Arc, Ordet, Day of Wrath).

(ru) wrote: This movie has one foot firmly cemented in b-movie / grindhouse movie territory and in theory should be very bad. The majority of the reviews would certainly suggest so. It's ultra violent, exploitative and is littered with some naff dialogue but it is also relentlessly entertaining. It's a very decent claustrophobic action film and it's also very very funny. I think it may also be my new favourite Christmas movie (sorry Die Hard!)
