(ag) wrote: GOD This movie was awesome... Ignore every reviews here... If it's a Punisher film there must be more violence and less talk. This movie has it all! Sure the movie feels cheesy at times... but forget it and watch it as a true Punisher fan and you will like the violence bit in it...

(ru) wrote: It?s probably ? okay, it is ? my error for expecting a different type of documentary on horror films in ?The American Nightmare.? Yes, I was expecting and hoping to see ?Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film? (which was a great documentary, by the way, with more than dozens of clips and interesting background info,) but instead got a history lesson on America?s trouble times and the horror genre. Yes, we get a few horror clips, but only from probably five movies, and two of which were in the same series ? ?Night of the Living Dead? and its sequel ?Dawn of the Dead.? This ?Nightmare? doc was specifically made to show the parallels with the real world and horror cinema (not sure why either Wes Craven?s other hugely under budget ?The Hills Have Eyes? and ?Godzilla? were excluded, but whatever) so they really should?ve have wasted time on both ?Dead? one and two. They should?ve just included #2 and brought in another movie ? such as the dozens of eco-friendly/horror films made since the 1970s (heck, even ?The Stuff? had some kind of message and mirrored the times.) Glad it was only 73 minutes, and it was mildly informative (I did somewhat enjoy hearing how the film creators came up with ideas,) but, still, hardly recommended. There are dozens of more horror film documentaries to check out. Start with ?Going to Pieces? for die-hard horror fans.

(es) wrote: This movie is slimy, sexy, freaky & confusing. Watch it! NOW! I love it when Wayland turns the tables on the cops, esp when he repeats himself about the video, such evidence I have here, or whatever that line was! Loved the knife scene, I had to turn my head. The laughing scene is pretty good too. And you will freak out at the ending! :)

(de) wrote: Good watch although some of the heroes were hardly there, like Superman & Wonder Women, their roles were mediocre. Same with Batmen although his cameo was still very cool. The movie introduces us to The Martian, his role was done up very well, Flash was just plain fun, Green Lenten also had a proper introduction and a lot of focus. The pacing and flow of the movie is great, the voice over was excellent, just the ending bit with the big fight was a disappointment. . I didn't like the bad guy, he was too ambiguous for my taste.
(ca) wrote: Almost the whole movie takes place on a boat during the French, English Napoleon wars...positives-low production costs, surprisingly clean language movie. Negatives-dark, gloomy for the most part, no great surprises.
(it) wrote: My favourite of the Resident Evil films. It's the only one that follows the plot of an actual Resident Evil game. And it's hilariously cheesy.
(mx) wrote: It's a Tony Scott film, therefore, you know for a fact that it's going to be a visually stylish film with some genuinely thrilling moments. It's a well-crafted espionage thriller with an interesting, if not implausible, plot, and both Redford and Pitt seem like they are having a lot of fun. My main problem with the film is that I didn't really care about what's going on with the characters. The film is all about the surface, and although there is nothing wrong with having good surface and the action is fun to watch, I wish there was more solid character development. Spy Game is kinetic and enjoyable, but it's utterly forgettable.
